A fan of the cakes and pastries sold here. Great tasting cakes made of good quality & legit ingredients. I would usually visit the place to pack and takeaway cakes during special occasions or when there's a party at my home. Good customer service as well, all are friendly.

I'm not gonna lie. Almost everything here is simply delicious; spaghetti(lemak cili padi👍), sandwiches, nasi tomato ayam masak merah👍, cheezy fries(ohhhh...this is sooo cheezy & yummy👍), grilled chicken chop👍, etc & yeaah especially their mouthwatering desserts!!! Amazingly rich & fantastically flovoursome. My favourite would be the mango cheesecake and everything that I have posted on my page! Discover! You'll go head over heels for their cakes!😍🧀🍟🍰🥧🎂

Highly recommended by my friend. Tried their Salted Caramel Cheesecake and Berries Pavlova. It's nice but the price is slightly pricy. Would like to have a try of their Signature Cake - Gula Melaka Pandan Cake next time.

I heard so much about this place and was imagining more of a bakery instead of a cafe. When we arrived at around 6pm on a weekend, it was not that crowded but the cakes are flying off the chiller while doughnuts already sold out. The coffees are pretty nice, my brother loved the honey lemon so much! Besides the cakes, the mushroom soup is the highlight of the day while the pesto sandwich is only okay maybe because of the bland taste. Otherwise the service is great and plus point for having a corner for children to play. Will come again definitely!

I was here at Gula Cakery to send my son for a baking class today. The place was packed since its lunch hour time. The cafe is supposed to be family friendly but the space between chairs can’t even fit a stroller to go through. Anyways here is my honest review breakdown:First the class was paid for RM80 but they didn’t get to do the baking themselves, but in the group which the kids get to hold the mixer like 1-2 minutes each. They don’t get their own material, or ingredients. No meals in between session, and get 5 piece of cupcake to bring back home. So basically RM80 is for the kids to just look at the teacher who did all the thing, and play music chair. The schedule written that there are 2 recipes, but they only teach one. Which is very misleading. Turns out the 2nd recipe is for junior chef 7-12 yo, when my son is 4yo so there is only one recipe for each group. The class too is so not worth it, the teacher are not kids friendly and busy updating instastory all the time. I’ve been to another kids cooking class that cost RM30 but worth soo much more than their baking class. Secondly, the cafe is too small to handle big crowds during lunch hour. They accept birthday celebration during the lunch time where they can hardly fit walks in crowd. I got warned when im accidentally sat on the reservation table feeding my 6month old child, which i didn’t notice because there is no sign/notes whatsoever. I didn’t get the chance to bite on my cake though, just letting u know that im a paying customer too. They sell main course and dessert at a small cafe, which took time for everyone to finish the course. It shows how greedy is the owner without thinking about customer comfort and experience.Thirdly, everything were overpriced from their baking class, dessert, main course and drinks. For the fact that it will give u bad experience i suggest that u spend your hard-earned money somewhere else. Bcause seems like they earned easy-money by squeezing your wallet. Oh ya, they charge u 5% rate for the service but u have to queue yourself to order. so go figure
