In a backstreet not really far from Mahkota shopping mall is this gem of just a little cafe. Loved ones- run it currently closes at 4.30pm. But do come right here for Strait Chinese breakfast or lunch time and you may not be disappointed. Good food, super clear and tidyand very helpful. Choose their My Laksa, their tender Babi Asam (Sour Pork) and the cendol with a twist, and you may leave with a grin on your own face. Highly recommended.

opened 1030am in order to 430pm, closed upon Thursday, this non-halal Peranakan cafe is usually run by way of a family. food are delicious. we'd 3 meals; Nyonya Laksa, Nasi Lemak with Babi Asam and the Otak-Otak. they're superb. the cafe will be clear and wonderfully decorated with Peranakandecór. will certainly return again, without doubt.

Located at Melaka Raya 10, a fairly far end from the Dataran Pahlawan area, it really is about 12 minutes walk from Hatten Hotel. There are lots of eateries and restaurants for this area. Very easy décor but delicious food. Family run business and unpretentious - thisis a home-cooked Peranakan cuisine. We have there been at about 2pm, hence it had been quite empty. We ordered the popular Pai Tee (MYR 4.50) which came in a couple of 5 small crispy snacks wrapped with turnip, dry shrimps and bean sprouts. A little plate of home-made chilli was also provided. It had been simply yummy. The otak (MYR 10) was steaming hot when served. Sort of grilled fish blended with spices and coconut milk. I really like its freshness and coconutty flavour. Another enjoyable dish. Nyonya Chap Chye (MYR 8) despite its mild curry colour, it had been spicy. A variety of cabbage, long bean and red carrot cooked in curry. You will need white rice to opt for this dish. The Nyonya laksa noodle (MY 6) in spicy broth was mild. It didn't have too abundant with coconut milk flavour. Ingredients were hard boiled egg, taupok, bean sprout plus some vegetable. Lastly never to be missed was the chendol (MYR 3.80)- Nyonya cuisine star player. We ordered one bowl to talk about. I possibly could taste that the coconut milk was home-made. Gula melaka was sweet however, not overly sweet. It had been also very aromatic. Serving authentic Nyonya food with such affordable price, this can be a gem find. It really is all about the meals here.

This can be a hidden gem which my mother recommended. It serve authentic nyonya food. We order popiah which tasted wonderful. Probably one of the better in Melaka. The laksa also tasted good. Nevertheless the mee siam noodle had not been very good. In addition they serve ricewith other nyonya dishes which we usually do not partake. However overall the meals was good.

The final time I was here was 24 months ago and we chanced upon this little eatery while searching for authentic Peranakan food. We fell deeply in love with their Babi Pongteh. 24 months on, we knew we'd to go back to truly have a tasteof the their yummy authentic Peranakan food. This time around, we ordered the Babi Pongteh, that was as yummy once we remembered it to be. We tried the Cincalok omelette, Nyonya Chap Chye and Ikan Pari. It had been all excellent. They serve really nice chendol too and the household that runs the restaurant have become friendly and enables you to feel at home. This is a classic hidden gem in Malacca.
