Enjoyed the nonya meals here, specifically The Chicken within (rendang like) sauce, fried poultry wings, lady's fingers with chili, fish maw soup. We went at 7pm, on a weekday and got seats.

A friend in our team brought us here, therefore i had no expectations of what things to expect. Since we were in a big group, we ordered a large number of meals to talk about. In this manner, we manged to use a big sele tion ofthe menus and I have to say, everything was excellent plus some were just fantastic. If I check out Melaka again, I'll definately be back here

Four folks dine there on 10th Nov 2019. 1st serving has been the kueh pie tee that was delicious. After that arrives the disappointment. The chap chai had been tasteless. The otah is a seafood cake with otah paste. Sambal kang kong has been too salty. Thechendol does not have any red beans.

Continued Thursday 8pm plus they were almost complete. Experienced reserved beforehand, on Wed when I called these were full. This cafe is small, only one 1 shoplot, around 10-12tables. Support was great. We were instantly shown our desk and given menus. Menus had nice explanationof background of baba & Nyonya and in addition history of proprietor Amy. There have been not that many meals. My mum who offers Nyonya blood, was very sceptical and experienced that the food ought to be so-so just.. she had previously gone to another restaurant you start with “N” and didn't find it anything unique, she thought it might be the exact same. After a while waiting, we were offered the seafood maw soup. Looks smart, it was only a obvious soup with plenty of vege.. so everyone thought.. hmm boring very clear soup. But upon tasting, the flavors simply burst out. And we had been all surprised. Therefore we looked ahead to the other meals. The otah looked regular and my mum stated that this is actually the commercial type, can purchase anyplace. I unwrapped it also it did look common. Upon tasting, discovered that it was really good and had excellent fragrance! Then arrived the tau foo and the fried poultry wings. You can say to both had been you made out of care - chicken ought to be fresh poultry wings (not really frozen) and tau foo cubes had been crispy in outside but still moist inside. Chap chai has been the real surprise, rather than the regular boiled and bland tasting kind, it had been darker sauce and actually flavorful. Cannot describe, you need to check it out!! Lastly, the chendol actually brought us back again to days of the past, gula Melaka had been the “real” kind, salty and lovely, coconut got the fragrance! Wowed us! Only point missing for my father was red beans, however the rest folks were really pleased with the entire food! Will be back!
