Had lunch here with a colleague. As per the name, they use banana leaf as their theme. We ordered thosai and was surprised to see that they served the thosai on banana leaf as well. We were worried that they might have misunderstood our orders (as we are not expecting to eat banana leaf rice) but they said that they served dishes on banana leaf.I ate my thosai with chicken curry gravy and dhal. You can always ask for other gravy such as fish curry or mutton curry.I also ordered teh "o" ais limau that tasted just nice. One comolaint though, the price. Oh well, it's Bangsar area, yet still teh o ais limau for rm2.50 is a no-no for me.Lesson learned: go here wheb you are not ghareeb.

I really enjoyed the concept of eating everything off a banana leaf. We ordered various dishes from curry, nasi lemak, roti, fried chicken and fried fish and all meals where decent. It's in a nice location and the staff are attentive.

Had breakfast here..Just awhile ago with my father. Good food. Some of their staff was nice and friendly to the customers. But there is one “super polite” staff who acts like the owner of the restaurant. Shouting and yelling at his colleagues. And treating the customers the same. Running here and there with his Vadai. I couldn’t get his name..Dear Raj Banana leaf management, please advise the “Super Polite” staff to not to "over" perform at work and teach him how to treat customers with respect. I will be back just for your food not for your service. just 'TAPAU N GO'..my rating is purely for the meal.

Im sure many people have been here. It was our first time to this place. Havent had banana leaf rice in so many years (thats like almost 20 years!). A friend who lives around here brought us to this place. Simply loved it!Their Service was superb!!! Fast and prompt. Cleanliness is above average for restaurant of the same nature. Reminds me of this famous indian chain restaurant in Qatar (the restaurant is called MRA, i miss your fine hospitality and your food!). Foodwise: it was good. I had fish and it tasted fresh! The only thing, their curry was quite ordinary. Lacking the ump factor. Price wise: it was around RM80 for four adults plus six drinks. Thats pretty reasonable considering each adult had chicken and one fish.
