Had a walk-in gathering with seven other friends. The ambiance was good although we had to sit outside. Generally, food was good although the pasta we had ( with pepper, duck) and squid ink rice was just so-so. Only bottled water was sold here which was a setback since we also ordered wine, cocktails and other drinks as well. Price was on the higher end; probably the location.

PLOY is a Modern Asian dining restaurant. It also means ‘gem’ in Thai. Inspired by the true gems of Japanese and Thai cuisine. This is a great dining place where we can choose the food from variety cuisine instead the particular western restaurant. The meal from PLOY is more for sharing due the portion for each meal big enough. The food is good enough and will return for more.

The soft shell crab pizza tasted like cardboard, the crab was horrible cos it tasted soggy. the Cluckin Lemon chicken tasted like 'kunyit' no lemon flavour what so ever. and the chicken was undercooked . when we send back the chicken , the chef came out to stare at us. Bad experience . and it was my bf's bday, i feel so bad .

Unfortunately the fusion cuisine has been adjusted too much to suit the local taste. I can understand why many would find the overly adulterated food tasty, but sometimes less is more (definitely not "modern Asian cuisine"). One of the more interesting dishes, Crispy Fish Basket, could be a great starter except for the fact that it is extremely salty and too spicy for my taste. Tried a variety of mains available, none of which worth mentionable. The ONLY good thing is the presentation which makes for good instagram/snapchat photos. Tried the "Cluckin’ Lemon", chicken was not cooked properly, sent it back but received another of the exact same uncooked chicken (Pictures attached). The manager was convinced the colour came from the Tumeric powder used. On a side note, the ambience was cosy and Ploy would make a great place if you're looking for a cheap place to impress your guests with "modern Asian cuisine".

Worst dining experience. We had tried pasta from heaven, ploy's black fried rice, grilled lemongrass chicken and crispy Japanese kare rice. The dishes looked great, but tasteless and the seafood were not fresh at all.
