If you're planning to visit Kampung Baru to consume, you better head to Suraya Seafood Restaurant. They acts delicious nearby cuisine. Their finest selling dish will be 'Kerang Bakar' (in english also referred to as 'Barbequed baby clams'). Here is a suggestion: Go there at 7pmor around that point. The positioning is accessable as possible use LRT and prevent at Kampung Baru Station.

Oldest residential area inside Kuala Lumpur with traditional Malay homes. And blossoming with cranes. Walk along food road with Jalan Raja Muda Musa (best at night) and wander across the lanes to peek on traditional homes. Try: Nasi Kerabu (glowing blue rice) - Kak SomNasi Lemak - Wanjo Satay - Pak Saf - little cart by the part of Jalan Raja Muda Musa, opposite Chonburi seafood Nasi Padang - Masakan Padang Asli Kampung Baru (ideal for lunch, several meals cooked Javanese style) Ingest architecture of traditional Malay homes - Rumah Limas (contrary Pasti Titiwangsa Resources).

Whilst I went morning hours I can notice this can be a must location to keep coming back and visit. Best by a place sits this fascinating section of restaurants and standard Malay houses. Would recommend ahead again a concealed gem indeed.

Walked 15 min here from KL lodging (Fraser Residence -notice my review) since there was zero budget dinner within the vicinity so all of us went for local, genuine, Malay food. “When in Rome, eat just like the Romans” they say. Needless to say not a tourist appeal. Youwill probably be the only real tourists here. Expect dirty roads and surroundings, congested a proven way road, many restuarants, Muslim foods and seafood. This is actually the norm here, and favored by the locals. Found a decent loved ones seafood cafe (RESTORAN ENAK SaaJE) on the part serving grilled seafood and juices. The beef stew had been wealthy, flavorsome and spicy tasty. Also enjoyed the neighborhood condiments. However there is absolutely no designated non-smoking region, but at least there's an aircon/enthusiasts and the restaurant isn't enclosed. There exists a washbasin close to the tables.

This is a spot to get traditional Malay village experience in the town center. You will find an array of dining places and stalls in your community and food is great to experience. A brief stroll from Kampung Baru LRT station or from the ChowKIT marketplace.
