It's like stepping right into a Wes Anderson film - the concierge till brings Grand Budapest Resort in your thoughts, but Jao Tim is my favourite restaurant around. It looks nothing beats other cafes around, the coffee is excellent, the meals tasty and theservice rocks ! because it's sincere. If you are visiting KL, then usually do not skip this as one of one's pit stops in Chinatown. I significantly choose Jao Tim compared to the overrated Merchant's Lane.

Petaling Street is certainly going by way of a rejuvenation of some kind. What was previously the active and rowdy Chinatown of Malaysia is usually going through transformation. Hip cafes, restaurants, pubs and concept shops are overtaking the traditional company. Think about Chocha Foodstores, REXKL, etc... You canadd Jao Tim to your must-go checklist, that is, for those who have not been there yet. In Cantonese, Jao Tim indicates "hotel" also it sits above Hai O along this hectic stretch of street. The door you need to push on the way up offered me this type of grand feeling that obtained me excited for that which was behind that doorway. The stairs delivered me around the first floor in which a traditional and vintage looking room occupied it. It had been a spacious location with high ceiling, natural crimson bricks and the wooden furnitures. Another thing which will definitely catch your interest would be the antique gold lighting switches on the walls - it obtained mine! The concierge area looked similar to the resort reception of the olden times.. they will have a mezzanine flooring that was still empty during my visit that i reckon best for private event. Simple and soothing musics enjoying in the background more provided me a comforting vibe. I possibly could spend a complete afternoon here. There's a area where one can see what's available - pastries, cakes, sandwiches. Flick through their menus for other meals. For drinks, think espresso, tea and also craft beers! Ideal if you value a dosage of thirst quencher alcoholic beverages occasionally. ◾Smoked duck rice bowl - their interpretation of don-motivated dish with smoked duck smothered making use of their special sauce in a bed of rice, and topped with Japanese smooth boiled egg, garnished with shichimi by the end for the visual ◾Peanut butter chocolate cake - peanut butter and chocolate is definitely my weakness. Lovely cake to opt for my coffee. ◾Flat whitened and iced black coffee Sometimes they have jazz efficiency (please follow their web page to know more) nonetheless it offers since stopped through the MCO. The whole location is social media marketing worthy and at exactly the same time, gives you good food and beverages.

One of the best cafes in KL. Without doubt delivers good coffee, great service and good atmosphere. Their croissants are the best. Recommended cafe for certain.

One of the best cafes inside KL and ticks all my boxes. Their espresso delivers a smoky and clean taste that additional cafes just miss. Foods wise delivers generally in most part aside from their sourdough that was quite gentle when it arrived on my tablehowever the entire environment, service, items & serenity simply gives this location a good 9/10 cafe.
