We found its way to Kuala Lumpur early night and were keen to locate a good restaurant to consume in. Having called several restaurants we found that our first options were completely booked that night. Nevertheless one cafe recommended Ibunda. Ibunda is an extremely elegant restaurantset inside a traditional Malay home with incredible discreet services. Very much how I'd imagine dining places from the older colonial days. We thought we would have the set menus, which we thought provided excellent value. It had been fantastic. The meals was exceptional - succulent, delicious and attractively introduced. We couldn´t fault anything we tasted. The one thing the eating place lacked was a wines list - there is only beer or carbonated drinks available.

We visited Ibunda in our anniversary. Ibunda shipped an excellent experience for both folks. Both of us had the set menus, my wife had the original Malaysian menus while I liked the brand new Malaysia cuisine. Both folks thought the meals wasoutstanding. We were searching for delicious Malayisan meals in an excellent dining environment, and Ibunda shipped. For a complete knowledge, a Malaysia band performed traditional songs, and dancers entertained us during our dinner. After dinner, we appreciated ourselves in the cigar lounge. All evening we'd exceptional support from Nazeem. I'd not really hesitate to recommend Ibunda to anyone searching for great Malaysian foods in conjunction with a memorable particular date.

We visited Ibunda after reading through the testimonials on this website, and were excited to use some exciting new meals and tastes on our last time inside Kuala Lumpur. The provider was incredibly helpful and sweet, the meals however, was pretty horrible. Both of us chosea set menus that offered a range of products, from an amuse bouche that tasted like chewy nothingness, to an okay shrimp soup, to samplings of some common Malay entree products, including a good chunk of lamb shank, a inedible, unfresh prawn, dry rendang plus some nasi lemak, that they sweetly additional as an additional benefit. The desserts (we attempted one with reddish colored bean and durian and another with a cheese dumpling plus some sorbet) had been a flavor vehicle wreck and had been what delivered a mediocre supper into questionable territory. For the purchase price (a whole lot by Malay specifications), this place had not been worth our period or money.

We'd high expectations of the place due to evaluations and the buzz concerning the restaurant because the one location that takes Malaysian foods to another level. Sadly, it wasn't worth enough time or money. The meals is, put kindly, an eclectic mix andmore honestly really oddly composed and very volatile on the tastebuds. The KL hawker stall curries are usually way much better than the types at this restaurant and perhaps foie gras must not be put into the Malaysian cuisine. This restaurant's try at fusion didn't function. To add problems for insult it's expensive.
