After a long shopping spree at Chinatown, we were looking for Indian food and found Betel Leaf via website. The place was at a walking distance from the market, and is quite easy to locate. As most of the people working at the place appeared South Indian, we decided to go with South Indian food. We had South Indian Vegetarian Thali, Dosai and juice. The vegetables provided with the thali missed the spices you expect from a South Indian dish, and the sambhar provided with both the thali and Dosai was all watery and lacked taste. We left it as it is. Coming to the service, it was terrible. After handing us the menu it seemed they forgot they had customers. We had to call them for placing order, plates for the food, and twice for the bill. It was a loud, chaotic ambience there. All the waiters were constantly talking with each other in Tamil, and loud noises were made while taking back left over dishes from other tables, cleaning and what not. With all the commotion, it's hardly a place where you can expect to have a quite dinning experience. I would have given this place a better rating if at least the food was good, but two star is all I would give with the experience I had today.

Let me start by saying I cannot comment on service or ambience as I ordered through Uber Eats. The food got to us piping hot. We had butter chicken, chicken kadai and lamb cooked with spinach. All the meals were really good and the portions were generous. Usually take away portions are small these were perfect. The naan was tasty but slightly overcooked.

Reached here on a rainy evening. Ordered chicken kuthu parotta, paper dosa and appams. The food was delicious. Loved the way the kuthu parotta was made with perfectly minced chicken and the right masalas. Found the Indian taste in the dishes which I was craving for the past few days. The service is a little slow which is something that could be improved.

I have tried pretty much all the indian restaurants near KLCC area. By far Betel leaf is the best restaurant on multiple levels.1. Great food - Found food pretty close to Indian taste and is fresh all the time.2. Feel factor - It has always been a pleasant feeling going here. The decor, sitting arrangement, light combined builds a cozy feeling.3. Service - I would say service is decent. Not the quickest I have seen especially when it gets crowdy the folks seem to baffle a bit. Not a big mood killer though.4. Quantity vs price - One area of improvment I believe. For the quantity it serves, price is on a higher side. Though food is tasty, it doesn't totally justify the price. I have been to this restaurant multiple times now so you know my vote.
