We visited Urban Daybreak around 2pm on 3/11 to obtain lunch. When we proceeded to go in, the staffs halted us and informed us that the cafe was full therefore we must wait, around half an hour. ( His attitude wasn’t excellent ). We arewilling to hold back as we recognize that it’s weekend break, it’s normal that eating place get crowded. Consequently we ask them that when it’s okay to sit down at the empty tables (Yes! We spotted 2 empty tables regardless of the personnel informed us that the cafe is complete, and there have been no reserve sign placed on the surface of the table furthermore) close to the entrance stage while waiting once we have 2 children under 6 yrs . old and staff furthermore busy strolling at the hallway helping customers, we wouldn’t desire to block their method. But what we obtained in exchange is silence therapy. The waiters simply staring blankly at us, not offering any type of assistance. Ultimately, we were standing up outside the restaurant looking forward to our change. No, we didn’t obtain upset nor providing the waiters poor treatment, instead it had been the contrary. While waiting, among my family member wished to utilize the washroom located by the end of the hallway in the restaurant, and discovered that there have been actually a lot of empty chairs inside. Later on, we questioned them (politely, not raising tone of voice) about why they informed us that it had been full home with no empty chairs available. This time around the reply we obtained is, within their own terms: “ We don’t have sufficient staff, so we can not last.... “. No apologies received plus they replied in a rude way. That’s the final straw! We made a decision to leave the place. If you have a nice experience eating at the eating place, I’m happy for you personally. Maybe it’s simply our bad luck needing to experience these staffs on our 1st visit at 3/11/19 Sunday 2pm (in the event the owner go through this comment, he/she will get at fault and solve this problem so that it won't happen to other people). Haven’t try the meals yet, am i going to ever go back to that place once again? Hell no!

The area is overrated on all aspects. The downstairs is fairly nice, however the upstairs doesn’t possess any charm. The avocado smash was substandard and the portion very small. Spicy scrambled eggs had been nice. Don’t recommend it.

We'd the avocado toast with poached eggs, and the hash w scrambled eggs and sausage and potatoes, all were super delicious. The waiter was younger and new but incredibly considerate and precise. the Chai latte float had been to die for, will return back justfor that.

Awful service, staff who appeared never to understand English. Smudged my purchase of the truly Big Breakfast. They ran out of pork sausage and offered the option to replacement for either additional bacon or hash browns. I chose hash browns however when the disharrived it had been SANS ANY bacon at all. They served my boyfriend’s omelette 30 mins before mine and by enough time we're able to eat together his meal was ice cold. Food tasted average. Extra side purchase of mushrooms and spinach has been pathetic in part size.

Arrived to Penang nowadays after an early on morning flight and loved a tasty breakfast. The meals, coffees and support were outstanding. I adored the nice fruity waffle dish with peach, would recommend to a pal. Lovely place for a very tasty casual brunch.
