I'm a Malaysian Chinese (from Kedah Condition) married with a Dutch hubby. Back again to Malaysia to check out my children and we found Penang for a couple days short holidays. We both benefit from the Penang local meals quite definitely and weoften go to the hawker middle or local restaurant (kopi tiam) to possess our breakfast, lunch time and dinner. This time around we stayed in Mecure Penang Beach for 4 nights and we continue reading Tripadvidor that hawker center is good, because it is merely walking distance from the hotel, we made a decision to visit for the 4 dinners (4 nights stay). Oh yes, this place only open up in the past due afternoon to late night time (5pm-11:30pm). The Char Koay Teow (Fried Rice Noodles), the Clay Pot Poultry & Chinese Sausage Rice, the Duck Rice & Porridge, the Keoy Teow Fishball Soup (Rice Noodle Seafood Balls Soup), the apom (Indian Pancake), the Bang Chang Koey (Chinese Pancake), the fish noodle soup all all strongly suggested. If we go to Penang again, will certainly visit this location again.

Many special local tasty dishes are served here. We pick the frog rice and the claypot poultry rice, both delicious ready, best! As dessert we purchased the slim pancakes with peanut crumbs and banana, delicious once again! Furthermore the kopi and ice tea had been very good.A genuine pleasure to supper here, the program is cheerfull, sincere and efficient. A satisfaction to be here.

Went there with close friends who visited myself from Melbourne. Heading there is a mistake (as an area). Food had been mediocre ( hokkien mee has been bad, fried poultry was average) and most severe of all the beverages ( ambra with sour plum) WAS OVERPRICED. I'll notgo back again.

We stayed at the Jazz Suites and took the 13 minute stroll to Viva Local Foods Haven. We found this type of gem. Taiba Shawerma has been amazing and the three personnel were so helpful. We liked shawarma wraps that has been paired with a brand new coleslaw, andthe flavourful rice with a aspect of the garlic sauce. I treasured every bite. The chicken had been refreshing off the rotisserie and has been so hot, seasoned with a comforting cinnamon spice and flawlessly juicy. Looking forward to heading back for another round associated with gooood food here.

This is a excellent food court in fact it is located just opposite to the Sentral hotel where we stayed for just two 2 days.Open with 5pm and there are lots of types of Penang street foods available right here and I believe that the prices are usually cheaper thanif you keep these things at the Gurney travel hawker centre.

In case you are travelling right down to Penang, obviously there many areas to go to. Aside to the sights, Penang can be known because of its food specifically their street meals. There are several places that I'd like to recommend so that you can explore. Initial stop atBridge road prawn noodle store where you will discover an excellent prawn noodle. Close to the shop, there exists a parking area, therefore getting a parking is not really a concern. The business is indeed great that the stall will be closed by noon. Therefore, be early to test their food. 2nd stop reaches Jalan Trang in which a row of hawkers stall sells their food. You can test their char keow Teow along with other food too. Next stop may be the Viva nearby food court at Tanjong Bungah. There are several stalls there and the meals here is really delicious. You will find types of street food right here. Totally recommend this location foe you try in case you are visiting Tanjong Bungah.

Great location with about 20 foods stalls covering western and asian, very little seafood or desserts but excellent prices. Majority under cover up. Bus stop for 101 bus very near. Opens from 5 to 12 midnight

Ideal for economical local foods with inexpensive beer. There exists a wide variety of Malaysian, Arabic and Western meals. The clay pot meals were particularly great as had been the braised duck with rice.

But not traditionally Malay food you need to eat out of this fabulous stand. The employees are friendly and useful, even producing my dish vegetarian and producing our desserts eliminate because we were therefore full after their incredible first 2 classes. Soup, salad, pasta, baked rice, salmon, apple company pie, fruit sponge...... we liked it as a big change from rice and spice!
