Tualang is really a small town, 40 mins drive from Ipoh, via the highway. Although it's just a small town, it's been well-identified to the locals for many years as THE spot to choose freshwater prawns. Us drove in two vehicles from Ipohon a Tuesday night time and found its way to Tualang, to discover that lots of of the dining places were closed. We had been initially very worried that it might be a futile journey, but were able to find a handful of open restaurants. Predicated on our past knowledge, we ensured that before relax in any eating place, we checked using them if they nevertheless have got any prawns and what's their dimension. On our previous vacation, we didn't ask beforehand and were left with a disappointing dinner with only little prawns. Indeed, the initial cafe we entered informed us he had large prawns, but demonstrated us serious frozen prawns (not live life prawns). The next restaurant told us truthfully he has go out of prawns, but kindly directed us to Cafe Kim Wah nearby. When we entered Eating place Kim Wah, we had been a little worried just how much the food will cost, because the place is huge and looks very posh. The ten folks had 8 dishes - 2 bowls of prawns (1.5 kg in every), 1 dish of codfish, 1 fish, 1 dish of stir-fried cuttlefish, 2 veggies, 1 claypot dofu. The dinner costed Ringgit Malaysia 360 (USD110). The purchase price is quite reasonable, excellent affordability. The meals is delicious. Conclusion - we're able to have ordered even more prawns provided the bill. We are back again.

We've book a desk for 7 grownups and 4 kids at around 01:00 pm on 01 Might.whenever we book the desk we order the meals. We arrived the eating place at 07:30 pm. With as soon as we happen at our desk we inquire if theycan serve very first the fried rice so the kids have something to consume first. This information was completely ignored. We begin at 08:30 pm to request the waiter why it requires so longer with the meals, no reaction. ten minutes later my partner call the supervisor and convey our disappointment . ten minutes later the initial dish arrived. Following the first dish we need to wait another 25 moments, too much time for us, specifically for the children age group between 2.5 to 5 years. When my pal went to the supervisor and informed him that we 're going today without having to pay he say never ever mind lah. So very bad. We still left the cafe Kim Wah in Falim. You've lost several customers.

Tanjung Tualang will probably be worth the travel. Scenic route to make it happen. Surprise the cafe is big and fine. Small village place. Plenty of flies though. Extremely close to the market in town.

Bean sprouts with anchovies, snapper, tiger prawns, bean curd with seafood, fried poultry with Thai seasoning, Killian and all of the rest was pretty delicious. Service is gradual due to do many customers. Great new restaurant. Affordable.

Ordered Oyester sauce prawn, that your sizing of the prawns will be small than average and yes it doesn't taste such as river prawn.. Nothing therefore special with other meals.. average maybe 5/10
