We went there for lunch time, at a good rustic eating place by the river. Great landscapes with fishing boats for sale docked close by. Since we wanted only a light lunch time we didn't order very much, so it was simply steamed crabs and mantis prawns, "kam heong lala", a friedmeehoon. The steamed seafood attested that the crabs and mantis prawns had been so fresh lovely. Meehoon was great. In hindsight, we have to have the lala produced simple because it was refreshing, but in any case the "kam heong" design was okey as well. The ultimate bill was also affordable.

We first discovered this restaurant some time ago, on that go to aside from a single bowl of mantis prawns we didn't eat just having several late afternoon beers (because of already having had lunch time previously). We cherished the location, over searching anestuary with many fishing boats for sale and sights out to the ocean. Furthermore loved the rustic character of the eating place and its own general ambience, filled with "aged timers" playing Mahjong. Because of this we decided to create a second vacation, this time with several family friends, to possess a proper Sunday seafood lunch time. It truly didn't disappoint. We attained about 1pm following a one hour get from Kuala Lumpur, the area was packed that is always an excellent sign, indeed we'd to wait about ten minutes to obtain a table. We had two mid-sized crabs, a bowl of eight mid-sized mantis prawns, a big bowl of mussels (lala), a big bowl of mee hoon, a big bowl of veggie and two large bottles of beer. All of the food was tasty with the seafood getting unbelievably refreshing and well cooked. Another three people who have me had been all Chinese Malaysians and all raved over the standard of the meals. The meal, like the two big beers, was just RM 160 (US$ 38) altogether, a true bargain. Given how well-known this restaurant is, specifically for lunch in Saturdays / Sundays it probably advisable to phone forward to reserve a desk. We saw a few groups, especially bigger ones, had certainly done this. A few hundred metres from the cafe is really a well stocked seafood market that is also really worth visiting in order to stock up on new and inexpensive seafood to create back home. Given the standard of the meals, the simply amazing affordability, the glorious place and the overall "rustic" ambience of the area I just cannot rate this eating place highly more than enough, a magical wonderful cafe. Among the best, if not really the very best, seafood restaurant I've visited in Malaysia. Strongly suggested.

Seafood was like fresh as it could possibly be. Steamed prawns had been succulent and crunchy. Steamed seafood was just a little overdone though. For the part and quality, it had been worth it. This rustic and homely wooden restaurant is situated by the Tengi river, just a little obscurefrom the street. Nice view and ocean breeze once we were getting our meal. Not probably the most hygienic environment but still alright.

The restaurant in a village environment (about 1.5 hrs by car from Kuala Lumpur) is really a wooden structure extended onto the river. Support was appropriate and the meals came quite fast since it has been a weekday with several tables occupied. The laundry ordered included friedsquid (great), veggie, fried noodles with little prawns, lala (great), steamed prawns (great) and fish.

Visited with family upon Jan 1/ 2019 to possess late lunch. Location was 90% full, assistance was acceptable, foods was good and clean. Not great program but we assisted ourselves to warm water and refills. Pretty good either.... at the very least we didn’t need to waitand were completely control. We'd steamed fish steak, huge steamed shrimps, fried infant squids and veggies. Everything was cooked properly and we enjoyed it. The river view had been great with a good cool river breeze.
