The food was good, environment was a standard Chinese restaurant standard and service was OK but we were shocked by the RM375 bill for 5 folks. We ordered steam seafood, large prawns and 2 vegetables. Will not go there once again.

Sungkai is really a small location with an instant detour from the North South Highway. Returning from Kuala Lumpur to Penang, we create a quick detour to the restaurant. We ordered steamed seafood and 3 veggie meals. Excellent food. Fresh, delicious and reasonable cost. Therestaurant doesn't have rest time also it opens even 2-6pm. Therefore it really is an excellent spot to have lunch time or early dinner in case you are on the highway. Usually do not expect excellent or even fancy restaurant settings. Only a typical shop-lot eating place, with fresh and excellent food to fill before continue together with your journey.

Stuck in holiday visitors on the NSE from PJ to Ipoh, we'd to cancel our programs for lunch inside Gopeng like, 2.5 hours after leaving PJ, we'd only got so far as Sungkai. So, we got away from the highway in Sungkai, and chancedupon this location. Unique has been their assam terubuk. This incredibly bony fish have been cooked therefore the bones were gentle, also it tasted like sardine. Sadly, the assam broth had been as well spicy, so my children couldn't have any. A minus may be the drinks came prepacked inside single-use plastic. Besides that, food was alright, pricing was ok. Much better than a highway relaxation stop!

This restaurant has lived around its reputation once and for all food and value. The pig trotters will be my favourite, nicely flavoured and a delight to completely clean the bones because the completing touch to a fulfilling meal. Each serving is really a standard dimension, costing RM45. Portionis enough for three or four 4 persons. Only if 2 are eating, simply 1 dish of trotters will do. You can find greens in the gravy so that it really works - the 1 dish for just two 2 strategy. As the food is superb, the client service staff are actually below par. They're non-attentive and from my eye, it appears they are attempting to avoid eye get in touch with in order to do less function. However, once they have already been summoned, they arrive forward and serve without the fuss. Not surprisingly setback, I will continue steadily to patronise Choy Kee.

I used to stop as of this restaurant often for the well-known pork knuckle. For this trip that is different because I have already been long waiting after booking the flat head river cat seafood ”白尾“ 。 The restaurant owner have the ability to get yourself a 4.6kg 1.It had been delicious, unforgettable trip.

This is among the oldest chinese seafood in Sungkai. They proceed to this location yrs back. Charge higher in comparison to old shop but nonetheless reasonable & worth a go

Mini business trip collection... Many a long time ago (actually I needed to use a long time ago but that'd good a little kua cheong) I made an instant visit this restaurant after spending time at the Hotspring inside Sungkai. Predicated on what I'velearned, they will have several dishes that I will try and attempted them I did so. Then I didnt get the chance to revisit until lately. It had been shortly before noon when I actually had to operate a vehicle from KL to Penang on company trip. I understood that the timing had been perfect to avoid by for lunch once again hence I produced an instant detour. The view of the eating place excited me. Nothing very much had changed.. aside from the MCO SOP and things like that. ◾ Pork knuckle - it had been gigantic regardless of the hand style by the girl boss when We asked concerning the size. Regular she said.. also it was too large. Anyhow the sauce got a nice contact of herbals without having to be too thick (but as well slim to my liking),as the meats was done perfectly minus the piggy smell. I assume everyone has their very own style of causeing this to be dish. ◾ikan terubok - my major purpose of arriving at this cafe and rightly so.. it is possible to literally eat the meats and the bones jointly. The sauce had some herbal treatments with spiciness from the dried chilly. However when you squeezed the kalamansi onto the seafood and the sauce, it transformed the complete dish completely. I came across myself such as a young boy again. ◾chai boey... Or sour & spicy vegetable. Among the better edition that I'd tried. After so a long time, I came, We saw, and We conquered again... Just what a satisfying dinner! I continued my trip up north
