Rajus banana leaf is really a popular restaurant within PJ. It's well-known for its banana leaf rice however they also offer other dishes aswell. I used to proceed there usually while I has been in school. The purchase price variety will be slighter on the bigger side for average meals. Recently , I visited their brand-new branch in Jalan Gasing. It had been quite big and clear. We purchased chapatti, puree, samosa, egg thosai, bru espresso , teh ais and teh halia. For me, their food is quite mediocre . Nothing at all to shout about. It's honestly not worthy of the amount of money at all. I'd not return back here as I experience I don't have to pay so very much for very typical tasting food

Raju within PJ (Off Jalan Gasing)is legendary; a title renowned that a lot of people know of, nearly synonymous with good (however pricey) roti canai, which quite simply can be an Indian Flat Breads. Most people come right here for either the Roti Canai's or even Banana Leaf. On Sundays this location is packed with folks from around town merely to consume the Roti Canai. Possibly the softness (however crunchy) roti's and the curries and dals they provide this with is what folks fall for. The ambience of Raju's differs from most "mamak's". The exterior seating area includes a greenery impact with a walls of painting gives it the cozy homey impact. If you're lucky, within the mornings...sunlight ray will drop through among the trees and that's when it's the nicest.

Raja's is a location that I have already been going to for ever since i have was a little child. It has certainly slacked a lot. The banana leaf will be quite expensive now. The group is filled with wealthy datuks and such not really that it's a negative thing, but it today caters to the bigger class I'd say. I cherished the seating region outside which would make you seated beneath the trees. It was actually cooling and refreshing. Service continues to be pretty decent, it is possible to choose your meat and meals inside or you might have the choice of ordering using them if you know what you would like for the meal. Beverages will be the usual mamak foods. My all time preferred is their fried seafood and their poultry masala. It's just so spicy therefore good! I could never miss the potential for having this dish. The parking is pretty alright aswell, there's several spots by the road that you can park your vehicle. Nothing much is occupied around that road besides Raju's.

With regards to Indian food, I'm there, particularly if its banana leaf. My very first and last stop by at Raju's Banana Leaf has been when I had been on a vegetarian diet plan and boy that has been one tough 7 days that I endured. My close buddy went for banana leaf and understanding that I was a vegetarian diet plan, he thought Raju's could have a good helping of Indian vegetarian meals. However, it had been the the exact opposing. There weren't a lot choices therefore i had to consume whatever that they had which wasn't excellent. Simultaneously, I felt their services to be very sluggish. It took them a lot more than 5 mins to get me one glass of water also to catch their interest was very difficult. They're either spacing off or completely ignoring my hands gesture. Properly, since that visit, I've not been back again and I don't plan to.

Authentic banana leaf rice! Raju's offers definitely seen better times. Recently, the wall plug has already established to downsize their functions. They've lost the proper to operate upon the excess piece of land close to their restaurant. During the classic days one could enjoy a meal beneath the trees. Today raju's is only a shell of these former glory. The eating place is incredibly packed and stuffy. The food continues to be alright tho. I'd definitely recommend purchasing their sotong goreng and poultry 65. The curry isn't at all watered down like the majority of banana leaf establishments. The roti canai here's really good aswell! Last period, the waiters were arrogant and rude however now it looks like their attitude has changed because they realise that every customer will be now vital that you the longevity of the establishment, therefore i guess not everything has changed for the even worse.

We went to the institution right nearby for 11 years yet We hardly ate there, We'm uncertain why really, maybe since a youngster I just never really had enough money therefore i had to make perform with much cheaper canteen foods. We came here more as soon as I started working so when We haven't yet discovered excellent banana leaf. Personally i think that consuming banana leaf is a lot more of an event than say eating poultry rice so I prefer to find areas that allow's us sit down, chat and have a great time with good business with a good steaming cup of teh tarik. Disclosure: It is a backdated evaluation to enough time when Rajus nevertheless might use the area beneath the trees, that they had to since downsize their procedures. So even though food is alright, the surroundings was fantastic whenever we got to sit beneath the trees (the trees have died now), however the service was simply horrendous. Waiters are usually robotic unsmiling individuals, they avert their gaze once you raise up your hands, pretending never to notice also to get service requires a long time. Then right now there's the indication hanging by the cashier... "We have absolutely nothing against our cheaper competition because they know the worth of their meals" (I paraphrase) The irony of the sign is that their competitors have far better food at lower prices.
