Character's Recipe is among my favourite vegetarian dining places in town and We've dropped count of my appointments. Near the top of my list will be the particular porridge and curry laksa (made out of coconut milk, no cow milk), and every meats eater I've brought here has liked these dishes, and just about everything else. I happily recommend the rojak tofu puffs, fresh fruit rojak, lotus leaf covered sticky rice, lor mai kai (sticky rice with mushroom and mock meats), nasi kunyit, fried turnip cake, wu kok (fried taro puff) and jade dumplings. For dessert, the tong yuin (rice balls filled up with sesame paste) in a nice gingery broth is a superb eh to end meals. I haven't been dissatisfied so far and appearance forwards to trying everything on the menu! FYI for vegans, We asked the supervisor if the yong taufu and shiumai contain eggs and she confirmed they do. Same applies to their residence made noodles, so choose the gentle noodles, meehoon or koay teow. She furthermore confirmed that the eco-friendly curry, just like the curry laksa, is manufactured just with coconut milk without the cow milk blended in. This is a spot to bring meat eaters. If you ask me they are impressed that meals can taste this great without the usage of tortured animals and several have returned by themselves. Much like all places, they assist cold beverages with straws therefore please do inquire further not to. :-)
