Discovered this cozy, english design cafe for afternoon tea. The cafe is situated at the ground flooring of the Happy Mansion house. There are varieties conventional cakes to select. We wanted to purchase the scones, but currently sold out. We'd pandan gula melaka, marbleand blueberry cakes. The cakes are usually buttery, wealthy and moist. The kinda of conventional cakes how exactly we would appreciate with coffee. We shall come back once again to use the scones.

Poor Experience with Unwelcomed Feeling - foods choices have become limited, very typical taste and little portion. Price is little bit unreasonable on high aspect. The cake is known as their signature but absolutely nothing to shout about as flavor is extremely regular. We had been welcomed by thestaffs but their woman boss's encounter is terribly dark when viewed us as though I owned her 1 mil ringgit. Very extremely overrated. We were nevertheless hungry but usually do not desire to order more and therefore we visited the Petaling Road Chee Cheong Fun simply 2 blocks aside which taste a lot more nicer with very hot welcome by the aunties.

On a Thursday afternoon the area was packed. The nice selection of cakes enables you to desire to order all that's on display. I specifically enjoyed the Victoria Sponge cake. An excellent classical choice. The gula melaka cake had a good, delicate, Local flavour thatI enjoyed. I actually had an Americanco but that has been a disappointing weak espresso. It was not warm and experienced no coffee flavour. Still an excellent option for a weekend break teatime place.

There are a great number of hidden gems in Section 17 PJ - most of them can be found in Happy Mansion. I'd gone to a lot of them save for a couple, and this specific cafe stood out due to a very important factor - butter cake! Butter cakeis something similar to a comfort food if you ask me because We used to consume this quote usually when I was little. Back then, it had been the Chinese or Indian uncle drove their motorbike around promoting roti and snacks. I've a vivid recollection how my father would buy various kinds of breads, cake, Choki-choki, Koko Jelly, Mamee, etc for me personally - I was therefore spoilt but additionally became a body fat boy along the way. Then I would consume butter cake for breakfast while consuming a cup of very hot Milo prior to going to school. Nowadays We seldom eat cakes or even bread anymore (however, not entirely) because of the fact that I'm within low carbs diet. When I must say i eat, Ive surely got to make certain that it was really worth placing into my mouth. Hideaway Cafe's forte is certainly their family recipe butter cake plus they provide a bounty of creations - from original to some fun tweaks to the original one. ◾various butter cake choices - original, marble, etc. I'd reckon to choose the traditional butter cake to flavor the original flavour also to gauge on the grade of the cake. Evidently great butter was utilized and each bite has been a bliss. ◾We furthermore went because of their marble cake and pandan gula melaka - no components had been skimped and each tasted great on their own. ◾Coffee - I am hoping that they can improve with this because I usually love a glass of top quality coffee to opt for my afternoon dessert. The espresso was not poor.. but felt the product quality could possibly be improved further. Coming here upon weekends require luck plus patience because they're very popular along with butter cake lovers, plus we'd to wait for some time before securing a desk. We didn't attempt their other foods once we just had lunch time previously and wanted something nice to fulfill the craving. Leo's verdict - come right here for the butter cake!
