I have had a large number of meals as of this gem, that is a rock throw from Silverscape/Components Mall and in regards to a 20-min stroll from the Dataran Pahlawan Mall. Yee Bao Bao’s Chief Chef, formally from Singapore’s Tung Lok and Lei Garden, meals out traditionalChinese/nanyang cuisines with innovative twists. A uncommon find certainly in Malacca. Not only may be the food served simply by YBB of top quality gourmet regular at affordable pricing, additionally it is deliciously authentic yet unique, refined yet not as well bland or as well over-powering in preferences. I especially enjoyed its hand-produced egg noodles topped using its signature barbecued honey pork stomach carried out through sous vide food preparation; its mixture of mushrooms doused with dark truffle oil resource; and its own unique take on the original nice and sour pork dish. Based on the Chief Chef, sous vide cooking food is really a recommended cooking technique favoured simply by many Michelin restaurants. This is a French influenced cooking method that utilises precise heat control (at lower than that usually useful for traditional cooking) to provide consistent quality leads to the exact degree of doneness preferred. As no synthetic colouring or additive will be involved, sous vide cooking food yields wholesome consuming with the genuine taste retained.

The outlook of the restaurant will not match the meals that’s cooked and offered love by chef Yee. This can be a MUST go to nicely hidden Chinese cafe. Chef Yee’s cooking abilities are certainly right with several 5* celebrity Chineserestaurant in Kuala Lumpur town.

I had the enjoyment or must i say displeasure of experiencing meals at Yee Bao Bao. Upon calling to create a reservation I had been told that they don't have a menus and I experienced to mention my price with just how many individuals comingand just how much I desired to pay and they'll cook compared to that value. THEREFORE I indicated the amount of individuals and mentioned a cost and was given 6 dishes that i had agreed to. I'm all for fusion cooking food but unfortunately the standard of the meat and seafood were less to be desired. Only the “Twice Boiled dark garlic soup with chicken and lotus seed” is very good. The Pork with Dark pepper sauce was tough but nonetheless eatable. The “Deep-fried squid with creamy sauce” came minus the creamy sauce and the squid was as tough as your shoe sole. Whenever we told them concerning the squid they said that's how it is. All the dishes were average. The service was really average plus they charge “10% service charge” and the don’t even hand out the soup for you personally. Overall ranking for me personally and my guess is usually 1 out of 5 that is already very generous. Arrogant people, typical to substandard food with exorbitant cost.
