Booked the High Tea in The Square, Novotel Melaka because the price seems affordable at RM45 nett for each person. OLDER PERSONS and kids eat at half cost. The Large Tea is from 12 noon to 4pm. The options available was reasonable however, not too extensive.Being truly a Great Tea option, not an excessive amount of food from the primary meal courses that was the bit disappointing. There is fried noodles and steamed rice which may be accompanied with cuttlefish, lotion muscles & prawns, sauté lengthy coffee beans, grilled sausages and veggie pie. The Melaka laksa lacks in the flavor, quite bland. Addititionally there is mushroom soup accompanied with assorted buns & butter and also salad salads. The fruits, cakes and pastries was the attraction. Plenty of variety and colour. However again it might have been better. Drinks include espresso, tea, tea tarik and different concocted juices. Overall sensible buffet at an extremely reasonable cost.

Great breakfast and pleasant staff. Food choice was great and the personnel was very useful. They open from 6am to 10am. Make an effort to come around 7.30am, after 7.30am the cafe was a little busy. General everything was good.

We checked in the accommodation and there wasn’t an individual towel in the toilet. Upon calling house-maintaining, the staff educated us that they need to await the towels to become came back by laundry and you will be sent to my space at 7pm. Wevisited our nieces till prior 1am. We came back to the area and there is no towels. Known as house-keeping plus they offered us only one 1 bath towel till We insisted for just two 2. What type of support is NOVOTEL offering? Instead disgraceful. We've travelled a lot more than three one fourth of the world which hotel’s service has therefore much to boost. Novotel, u have quite a distance to visit improve.

The night time I ate there I was the only real customer in the restaurant, the atmosphere was non-existent. I actually ordered rack of lamb. Given I had been the only real customer, service can greatest be described as sluggish. The lamb was prepared as ordered, nonetheless it had notbeen reduce into personal chops and the knife offered was blunt rendering it very difficult to consume. Impossible to require a sharp knife because the waitress got disappeared until it grew to become time to pay. It was extremely hard to order any wines to opt for the food because the hotel will not serve alcoholic beverages of any description, getting halal, something I was unacquainted with at that time. Otherwise, I'd probably gone to among the restaurants close by or another non-halal resort.

From continental to Asian food, The Square includes a good pass on of food for several during breakfast. The crossiants are usually yummy and the eggs are usually cooked in a variety of ways - sunny part up, fried, smooth boiled, difficult boiled, scrambled, omelette etc.

We experienced buffet breakfast there and 2 ala carte lunches along with other than mornings, the area is practically deserted. Breakfast had been average when it comes to quantity and high quality but I loved they bake the pastries there at that moment. The brewed espresso was terriblethough - they just allow visitors to take from prepared canisters and powered down the coffee machines. Ala carte lunches was passable but made a far greater cope with my Accor In addition privilege @ 50%. We'd burgers (okay), tenderloin (could be much better), char kway teow (very nice), tempura squid (pretty good), satay (pretty good) altogether. A lunch for 2pax every time set us back again about MYR80 minus the Accor low cost for adequate food - not just a bad deal really. But service could be improved. Onetime I made an purchase with an employee, and another personnel came to me a while later to reconfirm easily wished to order and dual checking that - I then found out it has been because the first individual I spoke to didn't understand english. I assume this reflects the true struggles of keeping a brandname reputation with local groups involved. A nice respite from heat of the region nonetheless.

The hotel is really a small generic but clean and well situated for walking in to the sights without having to be too near to the noisy night activities. Space was clean and contemporary but just a little small and many things didn't work (television, shower blind, safe). Supper wasexcellent even though restaurant was near entry but breakfast had been appalling. Cold food limited option and the breads and butter pudding sauce has been off. I wish I possibly could recommend but an excellent resort is in the facts and these need interest. Maybe our journey during CNY captured them at a negative time.

We had lunch time upon arrival at Melaka at The Square Cafe situated in the lobby of the resort. Remember that the eating place is Halal so simply no alcohol is offered here. I was informed to visit the pool bar easily wanted a glass or two.Later when I visited the swimming pool bar there was nobody in attendance, so extremely hard to obtain a drink of any kind. We had the Nasi Goreng Food which was included with Chicken Satay (menus said Prawn Satay) and fried egg(zero fried egg either) thus meal didn't match the description. Even though I nevertheless enjoyed my meal that i requested the chef to add spice to for me. My spouse had the wonderful value place menu of Mushroom Soup, Tandoori Salmon, Desert and a glass or two. The next morning we'd the buffet breakfast here and whilst it did mainly possess Malaysian options it had been quite enjoyable. I actually especially enjoyed the Char Kuey Teow and Egg Station.
