We had lunch time here upon checking inside as didn't want to venture too much. We got a desk as walk-in visitors, and good thing as well because it ended up being the highlight dinner of our stay static in Melaka! The maitre'd well informed us thatit is normally packed out for supper, but lunches tended to end up being quieter, therefore it was, however the menu may be the same. We'd several curries of Kristang styling - the poultry curry, and the beef curry. We furthermore had the home baked sea-bass - that was tender, baked entire and sensitive with spicing. My own favourite had been the white-bait (seafood) fritters which was included with a spicy-sweet-sour sambal dipping sauce. We were 3 generations eating together (it really is child friendly) also it really does feel just like one is feeding on in the household ancestral house. Very strongly suggested!

Kristang food is uncommon and various from Peranakan foods. The food taste differs as evaluate to Portuguese too. Few restaurants serve Kristang meals. Thanks Jacqueline for getting us and to Jenitha for helping us.

Whilst residing at The Majestic we chosen dinner in the eating place, we had the present of a free of charge set meal within our package. Nevertheless, none of the options appealed so we chosen the Al la Carte menus, which includes all Nonyacuisine which we both wished to sample. However, we had been distinctly unmoved by the options we made, which might needless to say be just personal selection, but everything appeared to be predicated on either extremely solid tamarind sauce (that i generally love) or dark soy sauce, both which completely overpowered the respective meals. The support as everywhere at The Majestic was very and the meal had not been expensive in comparison to UK prices however, not totally enjoyable.

The Mansion may be the dining area also it supplies a warm atmosphere using its wooden floors and traditional furniture. The menus at The Majestic Malacca can be influenced by the wealthy multi-cultural heritage of the town and it mixes flavours from the Nyonya, Portuguese, Malay, Chineseand Indian cultures, alongside Kristang meals (Malacca-Portuguese cultural heritage). The recipes were developed by chef Melba Nunis and also if she will be no longer doing work for The Majestic Malacca, the chefs remain using her dishes in the kitchen. They're proudly presenting her quality recipes book to the visitors of the hotel. We enjoyed every meal at The Mansion and among our favourite meals were Soy limang terung - pan fried aubergine in soy and lime gravy and Kachang - wok fried French coffee beans with taukwa, carrots and egg. The desserts had been absolutely amazing. Our preferred had been Sagu Kung Sukri Malaka - sago pearls from glutinous rice soaked in coconut milk and melted palm glucose and Pulut kung kaya - glutinous rice with coconut milk tinted with bunga telang (glowing blue pea flower) with homemade coconut jam (kaya).

We'd what the restaurant acts best! Authentic Malacca-Portuguese meals, also understand as 'Kristang' cuisine. Basically yummiliciois. The ambience had been good, an excellent reflection of the comfy upcoming. And we enjoyed great service, specifically from Jennifer. She has been precised in recommending an excellent selection andportion dimension for our dégustation.

Lovely colonial hotel with class. We visited their cafe The Mansion providing ethnic Kristang cuisine. The meals was great-we purchased the dried out Portuguese beef, coconut seafood curry, the drinking water spinach & noodles, all sizeable portions. We had been superbly offered by Deepak, who was simply so goodwith his suggestions & service. Most importantly, we sensed welcome with this twin babies. These were served their meal in special baby crockery & cutlery, their napkins were tucked in on them- just delightful! Will remain at this hotel next time.

Stunning and cosy restaurant. We'd booked hi-tea models for 9 people. The portions they provide are little and limited option. With S$19.00 per person isn't worthwhile. Give us lots of sandwiches. We anticipate even more nonya kueh and pastries. Espresso n teaalso don't possess varieties. We'll, unfortunately it didn't satisfy our expectation. 😒

This is actually the restaurant of the Majestic hotel serving Malaccan/Portuguese or ‘Kristang’ food. The menus warns you how fiery each dish is indeed in order to avoid blowing the very best of one's head off it is possible to, for example, choose the prawns in atamarind sauce (juicy prawns in a tangy sauce along with a rice timbale). Vegetable meals were good too, specifically the aubergine with shallots and lime gravy. Desserts don’t disappoint though both coconut and semolina cakes had been a little dry and could have benefited from some lotion/ice lotion. The tapioca pearls in a coconut custard and caramelised palm sugars though was simply tasty. OK collection of non-alcoholic beverages from the bar downstairs including some mocktails along with beers and wines by the cup. Could be a bit lacking in environment though. It’s a large dining room and also on a Saturday evening only had six diners in (nearly outnumbering the staff).

Spacious, food was alright but appears to have slightly low in variety. Stay they 3 days 2 night time we were serve exactly the same breakfast, and a repair combination for dinner selection. The staffs there have been courteous and quick to react. One of these by thename of Jacqueline had been cheerful, hardworking and always on her behalf feet. The man in a chef clothing helping us nasi lemak on 12 & 13 Nov has been polite and helpful. He recommended tasty mix of food, better still than what l'd possess picked for myself.

We had a pleasant food at The Mansion. We purchased one appetizer (Kristang Amostrador), Kari Debal, Sambal Terung and Omelette with prawn and crab meats. We furthermore had one orang fruit juice and the sago gula Melaka. We liked all of the dishes. Portion will do for3 individuals. It wasn’t as well spicy. It really is on the pricey part ( RM243). Lovely ambience too.
