Melaka was dead on Wednesday evening and incredibly few restaurants were open up. We were hungry therefore we walked in whatever has been open up. Boy, we were amazed. The food really was flavorful, with a kick, however, not too spicy. It's ideal towash down with beer (which Tames furthermore sold). We ordered Rendang poultry, Kangkung Belacan, and Otak. The dog owner woman recommended the Otak since it had been homemade. We were happy we accepted her suggestion. It is the best Nyonya foods we'd in Melaka. The decoration was basic, and there have been 3 generations of family going out in the dinning room. I sensed like I'm back again to 1970s again, however the old school experience is area of the appeal. Everyone, especially the dog owner lady, was helpful. If you are in Melaka you need to give Tames a go.

Malacca revisited after 30 years was the disappointment. What I acquired told my partner sounded so promising, however reality had an extremely sobering influence on both of us. Next to the town being a lot more dirty and filled with concrete constructions, there have been massive CROWDS! Thebicycle taxis making use of their absurdly noisy onboard songs were a discomfort in the butt and also spoiled the environment. But i want to get to the idea: food. Getting a place to consume on the well-known (?) Jonker Street at lunchtime was virtually difficult (am not really talking of top-notch venues withtop-notch prices), these were accessible. having walked the road up and down 3 x, we made a decision to inspect a aspect road - Jalan Tokong, since it states on my eating place bill. And we found Tames Cafe. From the exterior it isn't apparent you will discover food there. You need to end and eyeball the area carefully. Only then do you want to realize it is a restaurant. As it happens to become a family-run nyonya location. Food was great, especially poultry rendang. At a price of MR22, we'd a two-person part. Fried rice and fried noodles price MR 5 each. Superb value. Greens (early morning glory, I presume) weren't that great, but what the hell! Had a good chat with mother of the house, obtained the rendang recipe. Bought some spices and amazing tea to utilise in the home. The location will be 50, Jalan Tokong, a road diagonally parallel to Jonker Road.
