I've noticed Salt and Sugar’s menus in the areas of the Imperial Heritage Hotel Melaka (cafe is located on the floor floor beyond your hotel) within my last few appointments to Melaka but in no way bothered to provide it a go as Melaka presents anarray of yummy neighborhood hawker fare which lures the vacationers and foodies giving another cuisines a miss particularly if your stay is bound. This time circular, my hubs and I made a decision to test it out for because the Salt & Glucose staffs were going circular offering a 30% lower price voucher to all or any in-house guests. Even though you don't have the voucher, simply suggest to them your key cards and you’ll be eligible for the discount. We were greeted by the wonderful hostess, Stephanie who gave us a short description of these best sellers. We chosen something light once we were still complete from breakfast so Stephanie suggested the Thai Sundried Beef as a beginner which we thought will be a fantastic accompaniment to beer. The slim pieces of beef had been delicately marinated in Thai spices, cooker dried then strong fried till crispy producing the dish taste using this world. Hubs find the Pad Kra Pao from the Established Menu which was included with the soup of your day and I chosen the Pad Thai Rice Noodles. Hub’s Pad Kra Pao Seafood got generous helpings of crisscrossed lower squid, prawns and fragrant jasmine rice topped with a sunny part up which he ate up extremely happily. My Pad Thai noodles had been wok fried to perfection because the noodles were nevertheless al-dante with prawns, company tofu, eggs, peanuts and bean sprouts. We'd no space for dessert once we acquired the Thai iced milk tea and Thai iced milk espresso which was a good closing to the hearty basic lunch. The meals tasted nearly the same as the ones we'd in Thailand and we discovered the reason why... the chefs aren't local Malaysians however they are usually 3 Thai chefs from Northern Thailand who've been “imported” in by the proprietors hence the authentic north eastern house cooked style cooking. We will be returning again bringing our close friends and empty tummies to use their Tom Yam Goong, do-it-yourself Thai seafood cakes( we heard the chefs blitzing the paste whenever we have there been) and the Steamed seafood with Chilli and Lime Sauce shortly... very very soon😋 So test it out for when in Melaka... really a complete hidden gem👍👍👍 Done well Stephanie and team👏🙌

Range of ready food close to Imperial Hotel. Excellent services, great worth. Try the poultry with cashew nuts and savour the roasted chilies

We ordered the steamed seafood with lime and chilli ( can't remember its Thai title ) & Thai fish cakes, these were so good. Well worth a try.
