We found this place while looking to get aside from heat and crowds of Melaka. It proved to be a excellent find. Friendly welcome, great spot plus some really fascinating memorabilia round the cafe. We just had the typical ice Coffee productswhich were excellent but the proprietors were passionate and proficient in coffee. Lots available for the connoisseur.

I'm the coffee lover, I'll recommend this spot to coffee lover too. We order among the capacino, among the mocha. The taste is indeed good we are able to feel inside the beverage had enough coffee and koko powder. Love this location somuch.

Our guide brought us all to the cafe for a ‘various’ experience to use the specialty espresso. Each glass of the drop specialized coffee cost MYR 35 - instead pricey. The cafe will be owned by way of a young few. The husband is enthusiastic about his craft andthe Spouse bakes good scones. On the entranceway in to the cafe... they currently clearly condition it’s a location for serious espresso drinkers who appreciates specialized brew. Overall... interesting expertise but a fairly pricey one.

Mods Cafe could've been an excellent experience had this not been for the abrasiveness and hostility of proprietors to non-coffee drinkers as well as just average espresso drinkers. First, the nice stuff. As an avid fan plus practitioner of guide brews, I was extremely impressed bythe setup. Water is boiled making use of bincho-tan (Japanese light charcoal) which heats a vintage tea kettle, instead of standard gas or electric powered kettles. The dog owner - clearly enthusiastic and zealous about his craft - explains if you ask me that temperature from the sizzling coals adjustments the molecules of drinking water (questionable science but nonetheless looks good) so that makes the espresso tastes better. He furthermore takes the excess phase of cooling the espresso down in a decanter in order that it unlocks the wealthy flavours of the espresso before it really is served. The Bali Kintamani coffee beans definitely took the cake because the best tasting coffee (we ordered 4 different coffee beans) I've had in quite a while. Now, here's the poor bits. Its a very important factor to be enthusiastic about craft but it's another to end up being rude. I noticed among the employees rolling her eyes each time somebody blurted out what flavour information these were tasting - as though to mock having less refined tastebuds among mortal espresso drinkers. It also didn't run into as sincere. The moment we entered, they simply stared at us. No smiles. No welcome. It had been only once we ordered four beverages (which amounted to a whooping $154rm) that there is some friendly conversation going on. If Mods Cafe really wants to get the business lead as a purveyor of specialized coffees in Malacca, it can well on the merchandise. But fails terribly difficult on another cardinal guidelines of FnB, which are usually hospitality and customer support. They can at the very least pretend to like having us there instead of show contempt for all those that are not as bourgeoisie making use of their coffee. Even as a large fan of these coffee, I cannot recommend a location that treats patrons such as crap.

Coffee - nothing at all to rave about. Service - Proprietor had this "Mightier-than-thou" mindset that gave us all the impression he has been the only real person in the complete who knows what espresso is about Price - ten drinks (zero sharing allowed) and 6 desserts - close toRM250 Menu - limited (only 1 kind of tea & 1 choc, the others all coffee, only 3 forms of desserts to select from) You decide in the event that you still desire to go.

DO NOT arrive here in the event that you appreciate good support and a genuine decent sit down elsewhere. Who owns this cafe had been beyond arrogant and acquired the most worst attitude I've actually seen. We were pushed to sit down in a crowded cluster also thoughthe cafe was totally empty! Before we actually had to be able to sit down, we had been rudely told "1 drink per individual minimum amount or don't bother" We couldn't think it! What type of shop owner gets the audacity to possess such a rule and become therefore horribly rude about any of it for no cause whatsoever. Whenever we tried to inquire the owners a query, he has been irritable and acted like he had been too best for our company. He was fast to snap at us and held telling us something was unavailable whenever we tried to purchase it. He's fortunate we also bothered to remain for the meals and espresso but we should've already been out of there right away due to how poor services and mindset was. The desserts had been mediocre at best, nothing at all to rave about. And the espresso- super overrated. Once you learn at least something or two in what a decent sit down elsewhere has, you'll understand this is not it. With the flavor of this, you would be much better off at Starbucks. At the very least then you'll receive a mug of satisfactory coffee. Who owns this cafe should look for a new business to function in because unwelcome has been the largest feeling we obtained through our encounter. Saying I'm appalled will be an understatement. NEVER arrive here.

I was inside Malacca for the retreat and my buddies brought me to the cafe. Getting into the cafe I had been very amazed with the deco specifically the VW van. Nevertheless here are some was shocking. We purchased flat white and truthfully I don’t understand whatit flavor like, maybe 3-1 taste much better? But what’s even more appalling has been the owner’s attitude. When a few of my other close friends came in and required photo with us, the dog owner stood there and stared at us. Told myself very first and the final time. If you would like bad coffee and poor attitude, this is actually the place for you.

The owners are super passionate about espresso and gave us suggestions. The coffee was excellent and they used excellent cheese within their cheesecake

Check out only if you like coffee. order, beverage and go. The dog owner welcome you in the way like welcoming friends with their "home". Do not visit in case you are here for instagrammable image or intend to sit for very long or thinking that it is possible to berude at people's "house".
