It wasn't my first option for a lunch location but the other areas were full. I experienced the prawns prepared in asam tamarind design (6 bits of prawns, RM24), steamed okra offered with sambal, ayam buah keluak, and cendol. The sambal had not been spicy, abit sweet instead. I think the very best dish has been the ayam buah keluak. One individual cendol was offered in a surprisingly normal size bowl for RM4.

Had a lunch time with my children there as it's simply 5 mins stroll from Hatten Hotel. Experienced an excellent meal at affordable cost. Restaurant isn't as crowded because the rest so we are able to finish our food at our very own pace.

Overall is okay. Affordable and inexpensive in the town of melaka. The Claypot Asam pedas is actually spicy.

We visited this restaurant because somebody recommended this place. It was quiet rather than many customers The meals was average. Purchased ayam buah keluak , otah and chap chye. Otah was below regular. Another two was OK. You can find better restaurants around. Iwould recommend Cottage spices Nyonya eating place.

Purchased mee goreng, fried poultry, kangkong belacan, Ladies fingertips and Ngoh Hiang. For a heritage town to have this type of bad representation of a complicated and elevated cuisine will be inexcusable. I cook frequently and revel in Peranakan cuisine. But there is little effort designed to perkup the tastebuds with the offerings. The mee goreng was tasteless despite lavishing an insipid sambal belacan sauce about it. Did they your investment belacan? The squid had been bland and general the dish was failing. The vegetable dishes weren't prepared with pride. These were eatable or must i state, edible, but oh so easily forgettable. The fried poultry was, for the most part, average. Don’t worry KFC! They’re method behind. We didn’t work with dessert once we didn’t want additional disappointments. RM53 for three folks. That’s costly for what we obtained Oh yes, the mata kuching drink was great. Although overly fairly sweet for me this permitted me to dilute it so that it became two beverages for one. Will not return.

Ate twice within Banya no disappointment within both times in all. The second which I directed my organization of 11pax for lunch and most of us found the meals delicious. Among our 9 course food, bendi with garlic (bawang putih) and kang kongwith garlic, ayam pong-teh and ayam rendang were specifically good and deserved our thumbs-up. Evie of Banya has been especially pleasant and helpful and helped within suggesting the menu, part and costs, all via whatsapp before our come back on the next trip. She has excellent judgement on the part and we avoided extreme ordering. And she fulfilled my request to guarantee the part allowed all my 11pax the opportunity to taste every foods served up for grabs. For the 11pax 9-course dinner, the cost of some RM215 was extremely reasonable for the distribute including sotong, stingray, ayam, omelettes and vegetables. Restaurant ambiance was great and the surroundings could accommodate my business of 11pax easily. No disappoint, simply no regrets at all.

I would suggest this restaurant in comparison to most other nyonya dining places in Melaka. They nevertheless maintain their authenticity though I will admit second far better home cooked nyonya meals.

We took our lunch as of this restaurant upon Tuesday, that was 2 days back. The reason was our frequent visited eating place, Cottage Spices, was shut on that day. I'm a Baba myself and experienced really dissapointed with the representation ofthe foods. It was our first-time and our final one for certain. Our comments: 1. From the transparent kitchen window we are able to clearly observe 2 foreigners ( we believe they're Indonesians ) cooking our food 2. We purchased belacan lady's fingertips, supposedly to possess thick dried out belacan with dried out shrimps but what arrived up had been watery sauce with boiled lady's finger. Flavor has been aweful for the sauce and we find yourself consuming the boiled lady's finger only 2. The udang masak asam has really an excessive amount of the watery asam sauce 3. Mee goreng had been bad as well..they put squid rather than dried out shrimps and prawn. And a little watery 4. Whenever we ask why they're using foreigners to prepare the " woman boss" informed us it really is normal exactly like other Nyonya cafe. Frankly so far as I understand there are numerous who are much less I visited and ate there as well. 4. I just saw you can find only 18 evaluations at the point I'm writing this evaluation and frankly, I'm not sure on what real the testimonials who gave 5 Celebrity rating to the restaurant I wish you best wishes if you need to try taking your meal at this host to which for sure I'll not....there's so much to accomplish for improvement..
