This eatery is highly recommended (and i'm considering to give it a perfect 5). Service is friendly and efficient. The deco is simple, modern and clean; feeling spacious. An almost open kitchen for its titular duck to show. Taste of food is quality and i was thrilled by those we ordered. The Peking Duck with roll was an obvious favourite- fresh rolls, sweet sauce and delectable chili paste, crispy skin and succulent duck meat; yum! The BBQ Pork was well caramelized and with just the right amount of fats to melt in your mouth. The Seafood Wa Tan Hor satisfied my Cantonese fry noodles craving; eggy, rich gravy on smooth kuay teow. Had free ABC soup for appetizer and free herbal jelly for dessert- even the free stuffs were good. What not to like?

RM 42.80 for three combination of meat (Duck, roasted BBQ pork and Siew Yok) is neither expensive or cheap, its sensible. The taste of the meats here did not disappoint my palate. The favorite of my meat sampler plate was the siew yok, it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and had the right balance of saltiness too. Their roasted duck was not too bad either, not gamy at all, and was quite lean with a perfectly crispy skin. I was however not a fan of their BBQ pork, it was not as flavorful, or tender in taste, it felt very generic for me. Their cantonese house special fried rice RM 21.90 was also delicious, has a smokey wok char taste and was generously portioned with meat. The combination of fried rice and mixed meats was definitely a good choice that I would recommend first timers to try, its both delicious and a good sampling of the Cantonese food offered at Village Roast Duck. I was however disappointed that the dipping sauce was kind of boring, a thick chili sauce. I much prefer the light fresh chili sauce usually served with hainanese chicken rice. The restaurant is located on the level 7 at pavillion shopping mall, and it's usually packed for lunch. I would recommend coming for an early dinner around 4-6PM where the crowd is not as heavy, and ideally on a weekday. Parking at pavillion shopping mall is a pain, around RM 5-15 depending on length of stay. However if ever I was at this mall again and craving the cantonese pork and roast duck, this would be the place to come.

Like our previous visit, our meal begun and ended with the complimentary soup and herbal jelly. In between, we had a half serve of peking duck and shared dishes with rice.

I had the Peking duck and drunken clams. The duck was succulent and juicy! The skin was crispy! The clams was not for me. I also had watermelon juice so yum! Recommend visiting!
