The prices are on the lower side when you compare it to the other places in the vicinity. The only con was that a few items on our thali were damn cold and a few did not taste as well as they should have been.

Well nothing extraordinary about this place.Food 2.5/5: stick to South Indian cuisine and you will be good.Ambiance 2/5: The drinks prep area is adjoining to dining area. Place not very well lit.Service 2.5/5: Staff is slow. Rather than handing over the menu to patrons first, they were cleaning other tables (that too when the place was empty).Price 3/5: Ok price but not worth the experience. All in all you may skip this place.

Our quest for Indian food brought us here at Swad, which is at a walking distance from Pasar Seni (LRT) station. If you have stayed in India for most part of your life, you are used to certain flavours and taste in some of your dishes, and Swad tries to get that exact flavours in Malaysia for you. This was husband's second visit, but my first visit and was extremely sceptical of the flavours, so for safety reasons, I wanted to order Veg.Spring Rolls, but my hubby insisted on trying Veg, Machurian, so, we got that. Along with that,we also ordered our main course-- Kadai Paneer and 2sets of Chappati (1set has 2pcs). Even in India, there are very few places who make good machurians, most of the times it either too dry or burnt, but this place in Malaysia got it right. It was well-cooked and the sauces kept the balls moist. Talking about the flavours, it teleported me to a street-side hotel in India. It was amazing and can but an end to Indian's craving for Indian Chinese food. Then came the Kadai paneer and chappatis, which were delicious beyond pur expectations.Eating here just felt like eating at some place in India. They flavours were very Indian.Staff: The staff is very courteous. The place almost as everything that is listed in the menu, unlike places that do not serve yet mention in the menu. The give you whatever you asked for, in our case, we wanted some extra sauces and onions. They service is quiet quick.Ambience: It is like regular AC restaurant. It is hygienic and well-maintained.Our bill was between 35-38MYRCons- Carry cash,as card are accepted beyond 50MYR. The owner has its baby around and yesterday the baby was cranky for a while, but later settled down. A lot tables were not cleaned when we entered, which gave us a bad impression in the beginning. The chappati tasted like a mix of all-purpose flour and wheat flour toe, but I may be wrong as well.Food: 5/5Service:4/5Ambience: 4.5/5

Among the best briyani in town, spicy gravy juicy meat and more variety for briyani. The side dishes are good too. The best is the carrot halwa to complete your meal. However parking around this outlet is limited need to spend more time to get nearest parking.

If you're looking for authentic Indian food (North Indian or South Indian), you won't find better taste in Kuala lumpur as compared to swad restaurant... Prices are also on a lower side as compared to other Indian restaurants... Only downside is, little slow service on off-timings, so if you're in a hurry, try other restaurants near it.. But even if u have 15mins extra, don't go anywhere other than swad.. This will meet all your Indian food expectations in KL city..
