We were craving for Indian food and found this as a recommendation. This is the KL Sentral outlet (different outlets of Saravanaa bhavan has different ratings on website). If you are a traveller who prefers Vegetarian food, try this place out. We ordered Rawa Dosa, Vada and Hot idli, and finished the mean with chai (tea). Everything was great in taste...can't comment on pricing, eating in restaurant in KL Vs India is bound to have price difference in my opinion.

This is a franchise serving vegetarian Indian/Asian food which also has a restaurant in Johannesburg, South Africa. I was reluctant to try the food as the experience in SA was sub par. Here in KL however we decided to give it a second chance as we are vegetarian on a Monday and the rating was good. We were pleasantly surprised, the food was really good. We had the cashew nut kofta, masala dosa, paneer and soya mutton breyani. I can’t comment on service, ambience etc as we had a take away. What I can say is the food is really expensive for vegetarian, as good as the food was I am not sure the price was justified.

Even though my experience at the Suria KLCC branch was bad, I thought of giving another chance to Saravanna Bhavan - this time at the little India branch, hoping for some improvement. The food was not entirely bad, but there was nothing good in it too. Thick dosa without taste and cold hard medhu vada - but the sambhar and chutney saved me. My two stars are only for them.

Heaven for vege lovers. Menu is simple and I love their south indian dishes.. if u are a North Indian looking for 'similar North Indian' Dosas and Idlis in KL then come to this place rather than trying out elsewhere coz every local southie shop has pretty bland dosas and sambhar.

Tasty south indian food. The waiters are very quick in taking orders and food service is excellent. I particularly love their mini tiffin! It has a little bit of everything- dosa, idly, rava kichadi, chutneys, kesari! Pure heaven!

I have been to Saravana bhavan in Delhi, India as well. I know that they serve amazing south indian food. Thats how I decided to visit the place here in Kuala Lumpur as well. Well the taste here is even better. They serve amazing dosa and their vada is my favorite.Looking forward to visiting the place again. Loved it.

Wow! Wow! Wow! This place Malaysia.. is a zone were u only c Chicken, Meat, Fish and all sort of flesh! Vegans become crazy!!!! But this place gives such an amazing feeling. I wil now burp in the memory of the visit I paid there once. Really good. I ate the normal thing! D thali which was Saravanaa Special Thali. Oh god! Who orders a thali when dining out .. but yes I did it for the very first time at an International Level.. and was a huge relief. Good success. Bcuz tht was really worth. For all vegans in KL this place is an amazing spot to relish food stuff. So I ate the Sarvanna Special thali.. The details of its content wilb mentioned in d menu card as well as my photos that I’ll upload. Ummmm.. a bliss this place is. Such a blessing! Wow! Really yaaamazing for delicious food they gave. Being from Pune I love polya than bhaat. There I got a single chapati and a plate full of rice. Dude believe me am not a rice eater but I almost finished tht plate. Not just d rice but also every single item served. In fact d butter chilly was d hero of our meal. I got Ladyfingers ie okra, which was mixed with some sprouts which was OKish types. Then also had another veggie of cabbage with carrots.. which was too sweet Bcuz of d carrots..another more veggie of French beans with lot lot lot of coconut, wasn’t tht good but was Abergae rated,..ummm one more veggie of pumpkin with some lentils, was good.. then one daal with a tinge of Garlic was amazing.., one sambar was good! Ofcos South Indians r always good at it. Then d normal stuff of Curd, papad, pickle and sweet was Mysore paak. D Indian especially d Maharashtrian one.! Had it being of Karnataka.. d Mysore paak it wud hv being the best. Anyway! Overal finding a place like this is itself wonderful. Having food there is more than wonderful. I had tht. And it was no less a fun. Curd was soft and nice. Overall it’s a good place to visit. U also get good Paper Dosa there. I ate and tht served with 3 chutneys and one sambar was really good.Am sure if ever I get a chance to pay a visit to a place I will. PS : I have almost killed my boyfriend because he took me to KL and I took him to a Veg place Saravanaa for meal. Hwhah! AbhiDoo spare me for that. Xoxo! This is karma! 😋
