We went there to look at this restaurant inside Plaza Arcadia. It really is located a few doorways from Maybank dealing with the main road. You need to recreation area underground as there is absolutely no surface parking. The food is actually authentic Peranakan and cooked by locals guidedby the boss himself. They blend the natural herbs, paste, sauces and spices themselves rather than purchase off the shelf unlike almost every other restaurants. We ordered the steam seafood, lady's fingers which was included with heavenly belacan and dried onions, two some other veges, their chef favourite pandan poultry and otak otak. The flavor is actually good and genuine. Come right here if you prefer a good Peranakan food encounter.

Authentic Melaka cuisine. They were only available in Melaka and today has this store in Plaza Arkadia, Desa ParkCity. We'd two tables of 10 and pre-ordered the meals. That is always good because they can after that prepare the meals beforehand. All our visitors were really happywith the standard of the food, portion has been plentiful and the purchase price was also affordable. Not the very best Melaka food I've eaten nonetheless it is very good and authentic. Personnel is helpful and the environment is quiet. Really worth a visit.

My cousins recommended this restaurant to be outstanding, and we weren't dissatisfied. The menu was considerable, difficult to select which to consume, and all the meals we ordered were genuine, and used top quality ingredients. Looking towards going again to use the dishes whichwe didn't try out this time. Loved the new soursop fruit juice with pulp too.

Arrived here with loved ones and a family buddy. We obtained the pineapple shrimp curry, the cincalok omelet, sambal okra, kiam chai duck soup and three kedondong asam boi beverages. Just about enjoyed everything aside from the soup (which tasted as well highly of nutmeg). Curry wasflavorful and tangier compared to the others I'd tasted of its type, worked effectively. Sadly the meals wasn't good (or big) plenty of to justify the costs. I assume folks gotta cope with crazy Arkadia lease somehow? Anyhow, props to the waitstaff to be really pleasant, attentive and truthful about what's worth attempting on the menu. May possibly keep coming back again but only when it's on somebody else's dime.

Among the better locations for nyonya but can work on smaller portions and much more affordable charges for smaller groups. Little is quite big for just two so can’t really purchase much. Starters are fairly expensive, eg otak will go from RM18? 10 Paitees for RM37 whichis quite mind boggling. Luckily all of those other food we've ordered were fairly reasonable rather than stingy. Can’t order very much since we arrived in two pax. Nice location but looking towards see portions best for solo/two pax instead.

We'd dinner there and foods was excellent. The fish was new and the beef rendang fragrant rather than too spicy.

We’ve eaten here many times and found the meals to be quite genuine. We started speaking with the dog owner; a Melakan Baba himself. His passion because of this legacy cuisine is indeed evident. As this market culture starts to enter the popular increasingly more, hefears the cuisine are certain to get diluted and dumbed down - most of the traditional techniques and initial ingredients lost forever. And here's where he began to expound on the virtues of the initial buah keluak inside the poultry stew - the sourcing, the tedious planning to detoxify it and the way the kernel of the seed is extracted, blended with meats and reinserted in to the shell before cooking food the stew. Understanding all this gave the intake of the dish much better indicating and enjoyment. Although it continues to be an acquired flavor, we now understand the fascinating tale behind the dish. Steamed fish Nyonya design or within pineapple curry is great with the aromatic subtleties set up. Fish prices are superior based on excess weight but considered still reasonable. On the list of vegetable meals, the okra ulam will be by far the very best and tastiest. The smokey charred eggplant in darkish soy will come in second for all of us. We cherished the duck soup with salted mustard - thought to be simmered before original stock will be halved and concentrated. Prices are a high quality but if you'd like Melakan Peranakan authenticity, you won't go wrong here.
