After an appointment in the area, I went to Pavilion mall with my friend for some retail therapy. After hitting a couple of stores, we decided to check out the different restaurants in the mall for lunch. Michelangelo's was highly rated and was among those almost full so we decided to give it a try.The place followed a contemporary design with elements highlighting its Italian link. The indoor space was divided into the bar area and the main dining section. The former looked chic and cozy while latter was patterned to look like a fine dining restaurant, the outdoor space (smoking section) was more relaxed and casual. All three areas brilliantly came together as one cohesive look despite exuding different vibes. Service was ok. We initially had difficulty getting attention maybe because of where we were seated. However, after we placed our orders, everything went smoothly. The staffs were nice but clearly very busy. I was expecting at some point while dining that the manager will check-in on our experience but there was none of that. I was comparing the place with service from similar type of restaurants. For our meal, we decided to avail of the lunch deal which included a starter, a main course and iced tea. I had caesar salad, spaghetti with chicken leg while my friend had soup and pepperoni pizza. We enjoyed our respective appetiser. The salad was great. The greens were fresh with light crisp and the dressing was perfect. The pizza I think can feed two people. I got a slice and it was great; classically done. The crust was thin, the cheese was sharp and the pepperoni was delicious. My main course was very interesting. It was a pairing of baked chicken and aglio olio spaghetti. The aglio olio was delicious and could easily be a meal on its own. The pasta was al dente with the right amount of olive oil and strong garlic flavour that I love. The chicken looked a bit off because I thought it was too cheesy but a small slice of it was enough to convince me otherwise. It was brilliant! It was a delicious rendition of cheesy baked chicken. I don't think I've tried a version of this dish that is as good as this. The food justified the high rating of this restaurant.Price-wise, the lunch deal was value for money. The portions were generous and the flavours were great. I will be going back to this place the next time I am in the area.

*not a pro reviewer but i ll try my best* 😊went to this place for several times and I was quite disappointed with the services last night. u'll have to wait for a few minutes for the waiters to see u waving ur hands, probably because its packed but nothing to be suprised in Michelangelo's. a guy beside me had to wait more than 20 minutes for his food to arrive and he was quite pissed. i celebrated my boyfriend's birthday here, and usually they only gave me the cake. no plates till i asked 🤷🏻‍♀️ but still, the staffs were trying their best to serve us. great staffs.Their lamb shank's price increases by rm5 every year. but the brown sauce/gravy is in smaller amount compared to the first time i ate it. really sad :/ but i think u can ask for more but not quite sure if theyre going to charge u. their lamb shank is burnt at the fat area. Salami pizza, the bomb. I love it so much! Do order it 👌🏻

Amazing place.. they have very authentic pizza and spaghetti.. they even personalize food as per need. We had ordered spaghetti in white sauce and veg pizza both were very good. The service and staff are very friendly.

Its a place where u can expect to get the best Italian food. We had ordered the pumpkin soup, quattro formaggi pizza and risotto with chicken and shrimps. The soup was very creamy but just a tab bit too sweet for my liking. The risotto was absolutely wonderful. Shrimps were very fresh and added a lot of flavour. Pizza too was very nice. If you are not a big fan of blue cheese let them know as this pizza had a strong taste of blue cheese. Its not a very cheap place but thats what u expect with the kind of dishes it serves.

Very disappointed with their food. Good service but bland dishes (salmon tortellini had way too much dill in it and chicken ravioli was pathetic). Absolutely overpriced therefore. Up your game, guys.

To begin with the chicken risotto with mushroom:Generous amount of risotto. Very tasty and nicely prepared. The parmesan cheese on top finishes the dish to perfection. However there was still am empty space in my stomach. To fill that space, I had ordered Lava cake with Vanilla ice cream. It will take 15 min to prepare, but it is worth waiting and just eat when its hot. I was expecting a very sweet and heavy cake but it was actually the opposite. If you want to eat and treat you stomach with nice food, then this the place you want to be if you are around Pavilion KL, Bukit Bintang. Prepare for the spending though.

Went here for a dinner date 😘 One of my favourite places to eat, not gonna lie. The service crew were super friendly. We both ordered their ravioli and risotto respectively and it tasted truly amazing. I didn't mind the price at all! Felt like the food was definitely worth it. Make sure you make a reservation too, though, it gets packed quite easily!

Definitely my favourite meal in KL. The place is beautifully done and the staff is polite and friendly. I had the bruschetta, which was good and the spinach ravioli that was nice too. Lots of vegetarian options and everything is fresh and well made.

I had a chicken dish (I forgot what exactly), the chicken was nice and tender so was the gratin dauphinois on the side, the sauce was a little bland though. My friend had their seafood pasta and I tried a little bit of the sauce, it tasted quite good, i didn't ask about the texture of the pasta (eg. Al dente or no) or the freshness about the seafood, however. We also ordered the baby squid and a salad as appetizers, the baby squid was overcooked to a point where it was tough and difficult to chew, the salad was decent. The ambiance was ok, with a nice glass wall that lets you see through and watch the buzzing activity around the area. One complaint I have is that the chair (the couch seat) is far too low for the table, I am a rather tall person (if this is modest to say) so it was still manageable for me but I'm not sure about the more "vertically challenged" people.
