The ambiance of the restaurant is great, it serves a wide spread of authentic Malaysian food, however, the waiters just walk past you, I actually had to get up myself and get the waitress attention to take my order. The food was rather mediocre, for the high prices, I’ve had better.

Found this Malaysian cuisine from Zomata with 4.5 points. Went there last night and we ordered those local dishes and well feed for four of us. Fruits Rojak is one of our dream dish, curry head came out with huge pot and we couldn’t finish it but pack the rest to take home. Great value and highly recommended!

Okay food but horrible and slow service. Ordered an additional bottled water and ended up waiting for more than 10 minutes for it. Asked a staff nicely to follow-up on my water request, but after 5 minutes bottle was not yet delivered. For the third time, called a staff and requested to cancel my bottled water because I have been waiting for it for a long time. Ordered a lychee juice instead. In less than 5 minutes, bottled water arrived with lychee juice, the glass has leftover paper napkin on the brim (yikes) and some tell-tale sign of food.

I love their Nasi Lemak and noodles. Authentic local cuisine. The desserts must have too. The place is clean and with friendly staff. Long queue most of the time but worth it.

I love the nasi bojari at Madam Kwan’s so on a recent trip to Kuala Lumpur, I jumped at the first opportunity to head out to my favourite outlet at Suria KLCC. No need for the menu - I know what I want. I took pot luck on the drink (tell the waiter to pick something interesting!). The nasi bojari was great. I love the consistency of the meal every time I go. For a guy with no idea on the myriad of different nasi dishes, all I can say is it is a quasi nasi lemak (sorry for my ignorance!) and it’s delicious! The drink ....... omg. I think it contained my normal sugar intake for a week!! 😓 i drank about a quarter of it. Madam Kwan’s - love the place!!

This is the place to go for amazing Malaysian food. There’s a bit of a wait though to get a table, usually during lunch hour, so expect to be waiting around 15-20mins for a table. Their service is good, given that it’s always packed. The Otak-otak is a must try dish- really good!

I’m writing this review in-between my lunch bites at Madam Kwan’s. The ambience is welcoming and the staff members are just wonderful. I have had the Malay cuisine many times before but very first time at Kwan’s and I should say it’s a delight to the taste buds. I’m had the plain fried kangkong (morning glory) for starter (be warned that if you are here alone, then this dish is very filling). Had a few bites before my main course to give it a start. I’m savouring Nasi Lemak. I got the white rice replace with Bojari Rice (Kwan’s secret tri-coloured rice) and I can only say wow. The way I enjoy Nasi Lemak is it take a little bit of pickle, chicken piece, the curry powder and mix it with a spoon of rice. Awesome.
