They have been around for years and I have never really thought they serve exceptionally good food that I would crave for. Sure they are consistent in their food throughout the chain and often caters to office workers with substantial spare change for lunch. It’s not cheap that’s for sure but hey, they serve decent food until you tried their Nasi Bojari. It’s delicious. Fragrant rice, crispy fried chicken, spicy rendang and the tangy Asam prawn just lift the dish to another level. It’s actually surprisingly good.

The restaurant provides local food such as nasi lemak and curry as well as variety of Asian foods such as char kwe tiauw, kangkung belacan, sapo tahu, etc. You can find it among others at Pavilion and Suria KLCC malls.

Had dinner there and ordered their nasi lemak with fried chicken, beef rendang and shrimp assam (I think). The food was great! Generous serving! The chicken was cooked to perfection, crispy skin with glistening and flavourful meat. The rendang was delightful and their shrimp was superb! The only thing I wish they improve on is the customer service. Their staff was so loud and kept barking orders even in the dining area. It was quite disturbing and distracting to be honest. Overall, the food was really great! Might try to dine in another location becoz their food is really good!

The char kway teow was super disappointing- barely any ingredients and overall taste wasn’t that great. The ice kacang wasn’t flavoured well at all either and the corn/red bean topping tasted off. The chicken satay and the sauce were very good though.

If you asked Malaysian what is the place to taste Malay peranakan food then this place was one of those recommended. To me the nasi Bojari is great. Kway teow is ok. But rojak is definetely not mu cup of tea. Price wise it's a bit on the pricey end.

Food is amazing here at Madam Kwan's. Their nasi lemak was certified as best by the Ministry of tourism. 👍👍 Must try at KL.The serving was very generous. We could not finish all of the food for 2 people

I loved their Nasi Lemak! If you don’t eat too much spicy, you can made it separately because the chicken is spicy, but the taste is really good. Service 4/5Food 4/5Atmosphere 4/5
