Great spot to host overseas visitors or family celebration. Had a marriage tea ceremony as of this place also it was ideal for a romantic celebration with great trinkets and backdrop for pictures. Food is fairly priced for team brooking.

We have been to the restaurant a large number of times, recently only once I entertain guests from abroad. The restaurant is among two row of shop homes among a quiet residential section of Section 17 in Petaling Jaya. Parking is normally not really a problemas they will have 2-3 reserved parking a lot for their customers. The premise is properly decorated with plenty of artefects from the nyonya/baba lifestyle, both downstairs and specifically upstairs. It is possible to place purchase for the food and have the proprietor to create you upstairs. If they're not too hectic they are generally happy to oblige. They are certainly amazing and a good spot to show my overseas visitors a glimpse of the wealthy nyonya heritage. Food wise, it really is much the typical nyonya fare which inturn is grossly overpriced. Therefore, this remains a location strictly because of its ambience as opposed to the food.

EXCELLENT Nyonya Restaurant. The meals we order is certainly Nasi Ulam, Assam Tumis Seafood, Assam Tamarind Prawns, Jiew Hu Char, Perut Ikan, Beef Rendang, Nyonya Grilled Brinjal. ALL Is usually DELICIOUS!!! As i understand the recipe will be from their Nyonya Auntie in Penang. In addition they showme their Function Area. Excellent decor!!! Will definitely keep coming back in future!!! Good Work!!!

As an area tour operator I'm very specific when entertaining my overseas visitors. We should show them the very best we've in Kuala Lumpur. The meals is fantastic that is genuine Penang peranakan foods. Ambience is ideal with beautiful bits of selections that isdifficult to supply today. Has already been there on several occasions entertaining my visitors and we have excellent and friendly services constantly. I would strongly suggest this place for those who are searching for authentic peranakan food.

The true gem, the tiny Heritage House @ Area 17, Petaling Jaya is really a cozy house filled with goodness. Traditional Nyonya fare, drink and food, are made carefully and great taste. If you can't ensure it is to Penang/Malacca during Malaysia, drop by LHHand you'll discover a good reason never to skip it on your own next travels!

Was told that cafe is decorated with antiques, serve traditional nyonya foods, thus we give it a try. Went there for lunch time. As soon as sat down, we had been served a small bowl of Acar Rampai and sambal balacan chili sauce. Just later that people knowthe Acar had been tidbits billed at RM5. Ordered Sambal Petai Prawns (little, RM48), Inchi Kabin (Deep-fry poultry offered with dipping sauce, small RM33), 2 dishes of steamed rice (RM6), Barley melon beverage (RM6), Chrysanthemum tea (RM6), and Sago Gula Malaka dessert (RM9). The portions were really small, and flavor were nothing to speak about, simply too typical to mention. The costs came at RM131.75 which includes 10% service charge and 6% GST. For Malaysia standard that is over-priced. For this cost I would be prepared to have more better quality meals in return, not food preparation with MSG as flavor enhancer. Enough said.

Given the up-market experience and steep prices, minimal I anticipated at LHH was fresh food. Some of the laundry we purchased (beef rendang, chicken in pandan results in) tasted great the stingray didn't. Seriously disguised in assam along with other spices, it required afew bites to understand something has been odd. The seafood tasted of formalin. I'd heard about local markets promoting seafood preserved in formalin but could have expected LHH to possess higher standards. Apparently not really. My first and certainly last visit.
