I once had a conversation with an Australian who shook his/her head in disbelief that you could get far more delicious gourmet burgers and fish and chips in Asian cities like Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. She told me that it was impossible.KGB is one such burger bar in Kuala Lumpur which whips up phenomenal burgers. My mates and I visited the outlet opposite Taman Tun Dr Ismail. The trendy shop features a relaxed and youthful interior fitted with exposed brick wall and overhanging lights. My mates and I ordered a variety of burgers and fries. Mine was Animal Style or seared crust beef patty covered in grilled cheddar, shack sauce and caramelised onions between two lightly toasted milk buns. Where do I begin? The burger was stunning. First, the beef patty was juicy and fat and oozed some unbelievable sweetness. Crispy on the outside and innately juicy inside, the beef patty was twice the thickness of Mary’s burger. The caramelised onions and shacked sauce upped the flavour by several notches without stealing the limelight from the beef patty. Forget all the cheap and overpriced burgers. if you love gourmet burgers, give it a go here.

The best part about this place is you wont have any problem of finding parking. Its free and available outside of the restaurant. Anyway, in one sentence I can say KGB sells the best burger in KL with reasonable price. The food is fresh and the kimchi french fries is a bomb.

Tried on 20/5/18. One of my female friend told me that KGB burger is too big , one person unable to finish it , and must share . LoLz .. I was doubt though. And today I got the answer. I manage to finish it !!! I order delivery through honestbee. Well.. in fact it doesn’t really meet my expectation .. the bun is soft but the texture is not nice .. tornado come with the combination of onion ring, running egg, grilled chicken & buffalo wing aioli.. request to replace onion ring with cheese slice.. but it seem they just take out the onion ring without any replacement. The egg is not running egg but cooked egg. Chicken portion is good. The chicken bites are bit terrifying me as it’s look like over fried .. macam hangus dah .. chicken bites is dry & not impressive. Some people commented that beef burger should be better . I hope KGB would offer more choice for chicken burger like the beef burger variety & so those chicken eater would have more choices.

People say that this place is the best burger joint in town. And I have to agree that it’s def on par with some Australian joints even. The meat was well seasoned, crispy burger buns, generous fillings. Happy to come again to checkout the fries and milkshakes

With the dawn of battle of the burgers, I have to admit that KGB has been consistent. The TTDI outlet staff are friendly and patient, evident with the smile they have during peak hours. Our favourites are the Buldak Wings, Texas Steak Fries, the Bobcat and the Hot Mess. The portobello is also nice but it may be a bit much for those who are purists when it comes to burgers.Special mention here to Khairul who attended to us - super accommodating and prompt with his service. Will definitely come back🙂
