Hidden in just a little known road, in a little identified suburb is a small gem of the kopitiam that attempts hard to evoke a vintage world appeal for it's diners. At the store entrance are glass shelves filled with old design pastries filled up with kaya, shredded coconut, egg tarts, siew baos and fluffy cakes. In addition they sell a small collection of steamed dimsums and noodles. Egg tarts and kaya kok had been great, siew baos were typical. Their Hakka dried noodles and Curry Mee had been good. Ambience is fairly nice, they display plenty of aged antiques and home furniture. Some quaint, some kitsch. I in some way had the feeling an antique collector cum espresso lover opened this restaurant to indulge both his hobbies jointly! What I must say i enjoy both moments I was there, was their espresso. Their kopi-peng (Malaysian Iced Espresso) was served heavy and creamy with much less sugar. My teens appreciate their 3-layered tea. I'd go back simply for their coffee alone. Service must be improved though, not merely are usually the servers a little slow, they don't appear to know the menus very well and so are not bothered to "offer" their products. There's in fact quite a few even more tables beyond what you might have thought may be the kitchen, but no-one bothers to inform you. So a fresh customer might step in to the store, glances around and views all tables occupied and walks apart dissatisfied, without realising there's even more seating at the trunk.

In order to get your repair of good siew bao, please anticipate to interact a queue. Freshly baked pastries like siew bao, kaya kok, yam wu kok are usually served. Good stuff.

After visiting for lunch these days, kaw kaw pak kopi has 2 shops but aren't together. Located several shoplots away from one another @ taman tan yew lai. Emerged here after reading through good evaluation about their Malaysian kopi and little bites want Siew pao, kaya kok and egg tart Had every single flavors of their little bites pastries for eliminate but in all honesty non are best for me personally , other than their kaya kok. I'm disappointed though Drinks like espresso, Cham and teh are usually good, however, not enough for myself to come back the next time though. Got Nasi lemak with poultry curry. Nothing at all fancy to wow me. However price are reasonable considering it’s not fan sort of Coffeshop.
