Iftar at @Enak_KL for the #ZomatoMY website Meet Up was delightful! For starters, I had the Onde-Onde, which tasted just right, it wasn’t too sweet. The Bakwan Taugeh is really good! However, I couldn’t taste much of the Bread & Butter Pudding. I felt like it didn’t have enough sugar put into it.I had the Kerabu Ikan Pari for the first time ever. It wasn’t what I expected, it had a hint of Sambal Belacan in it which tasted great.Moving onto the main course, I had rice with Rendang Padang, Assam Fish, Udang Masak Lemak, Terung Masak Belacan and the Laksa Johor. All of these tasted great. My favourite was definitely the Sup Kambing. It was very flavourful, the restauranteur explained that they would slow cook the Lamb for hours to make sure all the flavours get into the Lamb (soup). That, I appreciate. It wasn’t too thick, it was almost like a broth. It wasn’t too salty either. My tastebuds loved what I was having. The restauranteur was super friendly. She spoke of where the recipes came from, which were mostly from her mother and grandmother. What’s great about the food here is that it DOES NOT contain any MSG at all. She believed that it would be cheating to add any MSG, so all of the food they serve here is rich with spices and herbs. All in all, the food was amazing. Would definitely suggest this place to those who long for really good authentic Malay food with the feels of a 5-star restaurant. It’s also a great place to break fast with your family on a weekday if you are looking for a quiet place.

Awesome ramadhan buffet at KL.Limited choices available for buffet as this restaurant focus on fewer cuisines and making it excellent. The buffet menu vary each day of the week.Best option for you if you aim for authentic malay foods.I was surprised by some of the dishes, that taste uniquely different from what i am expecting, there are: sambal tempoyak, sambal cencaluk, bakwan taugeh, kerabu ikan pari, kerabu taugeh kerang, kacang buncis masak lemak. For main dishes, ikan asam pedas is must-try-food that you should never skip.Im not a dessert lover, and I found most of the malay desserts are just too SWEET. I was really impressed by the desserts served at EnakKl, it taste very very very good and pure.. Creme caramel, sago gula melaka, bubur gunting cha cha, agar agar are simple awesome! Pisang caramel brought me a big excitement and surprise, goshhh, that's the perfect combination ever.Mohamad Fitri

Still thinking about where to eat or iftar? Do not want to western food? You want to try out the local Malaysian food? Look for an exclusive place for you and partner? Here is the place. Enak KL. Last Wednesday, Alja (blogger cahayapermata.my) and I went to Enak KL restaurant to try out the iftar buffet there. I never expect that in the middle of Star Hill, there was a local food restaurant. Well, you know, Star Hill is known with many famous brands such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, Sephora and many more.

Macam makan dekat rumah, but with style, You can taste the freshness of the ingredients as well as the tenderness of the main thing. . Daging, lembut, ayam well cooked. Tak kering. . But menyesal one thing, tak rasa their Assam Laksa or Laksa johor sebab already full =( my bad. But they said its good.

Enak KL is a premier Malay fine dining restaurant located at Starhill Gallery, KL. During the Ramadhan month, the authentic traditional Malay cuisine are also served in buffet style (Santapan Kampung Tradisi Buffet). Very different from normal international buffet served at hotels, their Ramadhan buffet get your taste buds to experience traditional Malay cuisine in a whole package which really suitable for those aim for quality instead of quantity (their servings are generous though). Appetisers: Always my favourite section! The must-try are picked from thousands of Malay cuisine. Personally like pergedil and their kerabu the most especially Kerabu taugeh kerang (both kerang or blood cockles and taugeh or bean sprouts are very common and simple ingredients used in daily cooking, the combination will surprise you!). Main course: The menu for main course change everyday as they have too many must-try authentic recipes to be squeezed in one day menu. Highly recommended their @Kacang buncis masak lemak which the kacang buncis are not overcooked (common mistake made) and still crunchy, the coconut milk is just nice. Ikan asam pedas is one of the best of the same kind I have tasted. Desserts: Desserts served are not too sweet and the portions are just nice that you can taste them all. Pisang caramel is something will really surprise you especially for pisang lover like me. They claimed the food to be 100% MSG-FREE. Yes, I can assure that as I have no problem with my sensitive throat after the meal and no feeling of thirsty at all. Can't wait to taste more from their ala carte menu where some of the recipes have been inherited among the family members for more than 100 years!!!

It's a nice restaurant with very kind service. They put us on a very reserved table and recommended good local food. Liked it a lot. Down side is the portions are small, food and dessert. And they don't have wifi, which is bad for us, tourists.

Let's hunt to explore authentic Malay Cuisine in the classic restaurant in KL city! Interested to eat it in buffet style? There is a recommendation to dine in Star Hill Gallery, Kuala Lumpur. Have a great dinner during this Ramadhan season even anytime you like. Wow! Love to eat the variety of classic Malay dishes with NO MSG. More delicious and crunchy especially the meals have aroma and savory of herbs and spicy with the fresh ingredient. The popular dishes have been served in Enak KL such as Kerabu Mangga, Pergedel Kentang, Tempe Goreng, Sambal Tumis Udang Petai, Ayam Percik, Gulai Daging Kentang, Ikan Asam Pedas Bendi, Pucuk Paku Goreng Cendawan, Sago Gula Melaka. Must try it out! Selina Ooi
