Casa Latina is a superb South American restaurant to use if you wish to sample new tastes and flavours in KL. We started with three delicious corn flour arepas (pulled beef, cheese and finally chicken mayo with avacado). Accompanied by a wonderfully tasty fish soupcooked in a bubbling coconut and tomato broth. The steak we ordered next was a touch too salty and was the only real disappointed of the evening. However, the lovely hand-made chocolates prepared in the in-house Cocoa Lab composed because of this. Definately worth a trip!

The restaurant is really a very cosy venue near Ampang Point. Had St. Valentine’s dinner with my partner and it was this experience in so many levels. The pre-selected menu was filled with surprises. Each and every dish was superb with regards to presentation and taste. It contains 9 courses of fusion latin-south east asian goodness. The eye from the waitresses was orders of magnitude much better than your typical top quality restaurant in KL. The complete experience was complemented with a good “bolero” band plus some other amenities. Definitely worth a trip if you wish to try different things from the normal KL canon...

Came for an early on lunch...I believe we were their first customers. First up - Haute Cuisine this isn't, also to be fair, I don't believe they claim that it really is. It is a family style restaurant with simple dishes. We tried their mini arepa tastingplatter, that is 2 all of cheese, chicken/avocado, and pulled beef. Pulled beef was the winner - very tasty. The chicken/avocado was a little bland, and the cheese was quite unremarkable - maybe best for kids? Main course was shared salad and a coconut fish dish. Salad was nice. Coconut fish no so excellent, fish was a little smelly and the dish lacked any character. Their other mains aren't particularly compelling either. It's quite basic fare (some might say comfort food?). I believe they need to go through the variety of mains available see how they might give it more of a definite South American feel. Dessert was a chocolate mousse straight from the fridge and incredibly hard. Service was fine, friendly and efficient, but again, we were the only real people there. Conclusion - I would go back simply for the Arepas, but really nothing else had a lot of a pull factor.

My children came here in Sunday as my partner is definitely Venezuelan and was craving some house cooked comfort foods and we weren't disappointed. We began with a platter of empanadas and Taqueños that have been light and sharp with tasty fillings. We then got theAsado Negro and the Lamb; both had been melt in the mouth area and the seasoning exactly like my wife’s family members make, absolutely tasty! We shared a chocolate cake that was among the best I’ve actually had. We've already booked another and we can’t wait around.

We love going to this cafe and taking in a lot more than we should. The meals is amazing and the service very friendly. It feels as though you're stepping into someone's house rather than super polished cafe that is what we enjoy aboutit. The chocolate will be fantastic however the Mexican food may be the real drawcard right here. I'm not Mexican and also have never gone to Mexico but what I really like about this location is that their menus has food onto it that I've never heard of, each time I purchase something new it really is delicious. We like this place.

I'm really unfortunate to leave my very first 'poor' review, specifically of a cafe that appears like it may be family run, rather than some faceless global company. But I have to be honest. We booked a celebration of 6 on the Monday evening to enjoythe vegan menu. We'd 4 grownups and two 2 yr old toddlers. Whenever we arrived there had been just one single other table of visitors, and what appeared as if enough kitchen and wait around staff to accommodate the tiny and cosy cafe they will have. On very first glance there is nothing apparent that indicated we'd be there we'll over 2 hours later looking forward to our meal! It took thus incredibly miss our meals ahead, and it wasn't as though we ordered meals and asked them to support dietary specifications- we ordered off the menu. I believe it was over one hour before we obtained any meals, after that my mains came simultaneously as everyone else's entree. My poor boy had nothing but snacks and corn chips for supper as that's all that has been accessible when he was starving. He woke in the night time having to eat again, therefore thank you for adding to a sleepless night time for our household. Forever everything was incredibly gradual, which may be forgivable had there been some communication from staff explaining there is moving to be some type of delay. With two toddlers around we'd have found someplace else for supper, and happily returned right here another evening, whereas the direction they handled our particular date means our household won't be returning. A confident is that the meals is nice, nothing at all overly fancy. Similar to home cooked food that is nice, but sadly not really worth the wait. Our kids finished up going to sleep well after bedtime because of the lengthy delays here. Even though we questioned for the costs multiple times I finished up needing to physically stand on the woman and make her take action, otherwise she was simply faffing about obtaining nowhere. Worst of just about all there is no apology, not a little acknowledgement of these poor services for the night time. They should have simply kept us well informed of delays. It's about communication!

Unbelievable delicious and very well forgotten taste of the Southern American food...vegan lunch time was most importantly expectations! We ordered vegan soft taco (2 per purchase), 2 arepas were thus delicious so my hubby ordered a different one, pumpkin soup filled with flavors was another nice surprise. Placeis cozy, soft songs was performing in the backdrop without disturbing discussion….we observed the chocolate getting process and then made a decision to finish our lunch time with a cacao chance and a glass of the black espresso. We still ordered a bit (5 RM) of the ginger pineapple chocolate. The coffee was superb! The chocolate and the cacao photo could be skipped. The service was good; the meals was most importantly our expectations. We shall return.

We had the platter of baked cornmeal filled with poultry, beef and pork. Therefore yummy! And the mix fried beef! Meats galore!

We love the meals and placing at Casa Latina. It offers us an authentic flavor of Venezuela. We specifically like the arepas - pulled beef and poultry and avocado.
