My overall experience with this place is consistent: if you order anything apart from the nasi lemak Ayam goreng, you will regret it. I ordered the hor fun soup and it wAs flavourful, lots of noodles, generous amount of fishballs... but even with all these pluses, I kept eyeing the nasi lemak. This restaurant had good variety and lots of breakfast food here

Had cantonese noodle and teh c at Bangsar South. Do not let my pic fool you 😜 it was such a big dissapointment. I guess one should not expect much. I have had better at my small kopitiam near my hometown. My 2 cents, just order yourself a plate of nasi lemak as usual. But that is just boring..haha

Ali, Muthu & Ah Hock is a one-stop-serves-all eatery for local cuisine. Quite comparable to Madam Kwan in terms of what they offer in their menu. They are located near the police station in Pasar Seni and along the same road as Bunn Choon egg tarts. Accessible through MRT and LRT Pasar Seni. The whole eatery has a very unique ambience, with 70s kebangsaan school vibes. Most of the furniture are long wooden tables and benches which can't help but make you reminisce the good ol' times during waktu rehat in the school canteen. Very accommodating for large groups.I managed to try their Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng (RM12.20) and Bee Hoon Goreng (RM9.90). Their Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng is absolutely scrumptious. They serve you an entire chicken thigh with some crispy batter bits. The batter is super tasty and well-seasoned, chicken is juicy and tender, rice is soft and fragrant... and the whole dish is not short of a single component that makes up nasi lemak. Their sambal tastes unique and I can't put my finger on any specific ingredient. It tastes abit sweet and has a burst of umami flavour, not very spicy. Nothing like the sambals that I have tried in my lifetime. Their bee hoon did not disappoint as well. Super flavourful and has 'wok hei'. It also has a unique flavour that I can't pinpoint, tastes abit like their sambal. Portion sizes are huge and prices are inclusive of SST, hence I think it is value for money and definitely worth a try!

Ali, Muthu & Ah Hock, these names are all too familiar for all of us who had written essays back in our primary school days. Names that are synonymous with our schooling days and is undeniably Malaysian. With that in mind, it is the perfect brand to represent our national dish, Nasi Lemak. Yes, nasi lemak can practically be found in anywhere in town but there is one that stands out from the rest and often referred to as the best in town. Village park had that spot for a while now and for me, they are overrated and while I admit that their fried chicken is beyond amazing but the core of the dish, the Nasi Lemak, the coconut rice, is sadly disappointing. It is bland and lack the fragrance that drives the dish. As such, it almost seem like a tourist trap. This is where Ali, Muthu & Ah Hock emerges as the challenger, the contender and the underdog to Village Park’s position. In my opinion, they are as good as village park in every component of the dish except the rice. They are better with the rice than village park has ever did. In that aspect, I will say this loud and clear, Ali Muthu and Ah Hock is indeed better than Village Park and they are indeed the best in town for Nasi Lemak.

It's very delicious but somehow it's still not the best nasi lemak I've ever had. The ayam goreng is really big and delicious also the rice but the sambal is only decent imo. Haven't tried village park tho but the best sambal for me is still selera rasa nasi lemak in SingaporeFollow IG @binacinil#binacinilapproved

Love the nasi lemak and sambal sotong but the Asam Laksa doesnt even taste like Asam Laksa, the taste of the broth is so bland.. overall its really good, just have to improvise the Asam Laksa :)

First, the ambiance of the restaurant was great as it looked really traditional and I loved it! I'm a huge nasi lemak fan and their nasi lemak did not disappoint. I ordered nasi lemak with ayam goreng! The fried chicken was huge, well fried and they also gave some of the fried bits of the skin which was so tasty! Have to say though if you're a person who likes spicy sambal, this is not the place for u. The sambal is slightly on the salty side and a little sweet but still turned out nice! I would highly reconmend a visit as the staff are friendly and its a great place for family and friends 👏

I had their nasi lemak biasa. For such a price, the portion is really small and sambal is oily. Teh tarik was good though, thumbs up for that.

I went to KL branch for lunch, and the nyonya laksa is kosong. Just 2 tofu, slice cucumber, mee and gravy... I questioned why is it kosong? Its like that...Pretty cheap skate for Ali Muthu Ah Hock to be charging a premium and serve laksa kosong... I get it that it needs to be cost effective, but because it's always pack, I guess its okay for them to take advantage and lose a few customers...

It’s fast, came during Raya holiday, nice food. Authentic, almost like Village park one, if not better in term of taste and also the ajinomoto level. Village park one felt very thirsty for half day after eating. Here is fine. The Nasi Lemak more Lemak feel.
