So I was sure that Malay food isn't really made for my palate (I am an Indian who travelled to Malaysia) and I came here for a dinner just because it was few steps away from my hotel. The restaurant is well placed just near the KL Sentral train station and is most of the times pretty packed. I went and could see that this is not the place where servers would be paying much attention to you so you have to take the charge and decide what to eat on your own. I could really not understand much of the dishes written on the menu.I stood up, walked to the counter where a server was preparing the thali with 5-6 chicken/mutton/beef dishes kept in front of him. I chose the mutton dish with the rice (Nasi Campur). He put it on the plate and took it back on my table. The mutton was nicely cooked and it was after pretty long that I ate properly here in KL. It is a very economical place, quite affordable for the tourists.

My first trip to KL I was immediately introduced to Nasi Kandar. As a non-indian food fan, I was afraid that I'd get nauseous while eating, but I was wrong. It wasn't as heavy as typical indian curry and I didn't smell any strong spices coming out from the food (which is a total plus for me). Their spice chicken is a MUST TRY! It was so good that i'd come back just for that (literally just for that though). For me, everything else's was just okay. They served US size portion which also a good bargain for the price.

Despite the amount of people present, they always had time and had great service. Location is great-central and the food is just amazing!!!!!!!!

One of the very famous mamak stall style restaurant chain in KL which has food for all major ethnic groups in Malaysia. You can get the famous south Indian foods like dosa, Parotta and rice with different curries. Their tea, coffee and fresh juices are too good and it's worth the money we pay. Lot of options available in food and drinks so you won't getl disappointed unless you are a person who strictly adhere to a very specific cuisine with your local place taste. The place will be a bit crowded since its very near to the transportation hub of KL but it won't be a disadvantage to this hotel. Just give it a try with an open mind and you will definitely like the place.

Near KL sentral with reasonable price. I had my breakfast with teh and roti canai. Teh was good. Fast service. Quite crowded in the peak hours.

ABC bistro cafe is a perfect place to have food and snacks at a very reasonable cost, they offer variety of dishes from Indian food to Local Malaysian food, all are prepared well, have tried theirs Vada and Idly along with tea, food was good and tea was very good, this is turning out to be my evening tea and snack joint as I almost visit this every second day.

This place is located close to the Hotel [Metro KL] I was staying in Brickfields and so I went there along with a friend to try it's Banana Leaf  which it claims to be the best in the city. They gave me a card in which the bill gets loaded and you have to pay at the cash counter using the card.I ordered a Chicken Biryani [14 RM], Banana Leaf Meals [6.50 RM], Mutton Varuval [9 RM], ABC Special Premium Tea [2.30 RM], Milo Ais [3.20 RM] and Horlicks Ais [3.20 RM] and the total bill was 38.20 RM including taxes.I do not think that their Banana Leaf meal was the best in Kuala Lumpur but it was good where as their Chicken Biryani which came along with papads had a distinct tamil flavour and was tasty. My favorite items here are Mutton Varuval curry which was awesome and both the Ais drinks. This place was huge and their standards of Hygiene were much better compared to other Mamak restaurants in this area. The staff were friendly and their service was fast. This place also sells drinks by Litres [1.5, 2 and 3] which are called Towers.
