We find the Shang Palace because the main eating place in the resort was only helping buffet. We weren't disappointed because the food was superb served rapidly and was warm. The atmosphere in the restaurant isn't up to much however the program and qualitymade up because of this.

Excellent Chinese meals. Note this is simply not a Malaysian restaurant. Limited wine list; exactly like all of those other hotel. Zero pork served though, not surprisingly being truly a Chinese restaurant.

Location: Located from Shangrila Tanjung Aru Holiday resort and Spa. A lot of free parking available. Services: Friendly, attentive and courteous assistance. We dined right here on the 3rd time of Chinese New Yr and there were a lot of Chinese vacationers dining right here. We didn't publication a tableand need to await about 40 mins. We weren't in hurry so that it was alright. Ambience: Clear and neat Chinese cafe in formal setting. The average size restaurant with vivid lighting. Food: Halal Chinese eating place. We ordered lovely and sour poultry, seafood claypot, mix fried mix vegetables, offered with steam rice. All dishes had been delicious and typical in portions. Price: Cost is on the great side due to the atmosphere and located area of the restaurant. Will come back if we go to Kota Kinabalu later on.

Went for a family group lunch, the service has been excellent helpful staffs. The dim sum had not been around expectations. Variety sensible was ok, however the taste need severe improvement. I'm quite delicate to MSG, the filling or possibly the stir fry has been loaded withthis incredible flavour enhancing things. Was quite thirsty after getting the food and keep experiencing the chinese tea.

Pre-booked our 4 tables for families around 5pm, even pre-ordered our dishes. After that, upon arrival at 8pm, was told hands down the tables was provided to some other family, so they need to cramp us into 3 tables. No phone calls from the eating place to inform usregarding to the (we were in-house visitors in those days). First dish was just served about one hour after seated. The dish was as well small (enjoy it was prepared for just one person). While looking forward to the next dish which just arrived around 30mins afterwards, we were offered with vegetarian springtime rolls (such as a sign our dishes will arrive past due). Through the entire 2 hours dinner, we weren't serve any rice. When asked, they held giving excuses (nevertheless cooking food, transferring the rice from the pot in to the rice bowls, etc). They just offered the rice like mins before they assist the dessert, and the rice had not been even fully cooked.

Went for the weekday special set supper with friends and family. Booking process making use of their F&B group was clean, requested to change among the dishes to poultry as one folks dont consume beef. All communicated properly and acknowledged back again via whatsapp. Now theunsatisfactory part : (1) set dinner meals all ready but beef dish had not been changed to poultry. It was offered and we jus remaining it since it is. (2) obtain a pot of tea from the waiter. The waiter introduced loudly before us “your personal set of RM80 will not include tea”! We are not requesting free tea to begin with. Secondly should you remind us just how much our food cost? Probably the waiter wished to ensure we possess extra money to cover the tea i assume .. (3) food not excellent but cant complain very much, this is a value place for 4 person in RM80 (exclude tea :D ) , worthwhile but wont attempt again.

We went to lunch on Shang Palace that is on the ground flooring of Kinabalu and took benefit of the 30% lower price for ala-carte meals for in-house visitors as we're residing at Shangri-la Tanjung Aru Vacation resort. Our bowls of the daywere kung-pao poultry, garlic-prepared kailan (Chinese broccoli) veggie and crab-stuffed corn soup with rice. Exceptionally tasty! Furthermore ordered dim sum which evidently was not contained in the discount, but nonetheless fantastic and should be tried for anybody who involves dine as of this restaurant. Will surely keep coming back again soon!
