We are sitting down in a cafe called Rocks, which on the search engines map we thought to be the English Tea Home at their new place of Jessleton Stage. Yes they will have tea and shepherds pie, nonetheless it is actually not the venue we've readreviews about, and is really a mere interface cafe. On seated for a very much required drink following the lengthy job of tracking this location - not in the positioning provided or directed by search engines maps - we had a need to move tables, when i particularly can't stand ants on my chair or desk. We phoned the tea home which is where we had been delivered to. The waitress smiled and stated the tea house went. I questioned where - she mentioned Jalan Sulaman near 1 Borneo. I'll ensure it is my quest to get, but should they do exist I would recommend they address their site and get in touch with website to upgrade their details. Are you aware that Rocks Cafe - we'd a good refreshing ice espresso, but for food - who knows??

The 1st time I dined here was for lunch time & that they had a set menu when i was travelling with a tour group. The meals was excellent nevertheless I found once you requested something basic such as a lattee, they understood it was espresso but justbrought me a sit down elsewhere! The next visit was to dine with 5 friends for supper. Again knowledge of the English vocabulary was an issue & as a result we received some items we didn't purchase. All except one of our entrees arrived & immediately after the mains emerged. When it had been pointed out there is an entree lacking the waiter wandered off & shortly came back with the lacking entree. By this phase our table was quite filled with plates of foods. We were about 50 % method through our mains when suddenly dessert arrived. I came across this to be incredibly bad form. Food 10/10, Services 1/10

I actually was taken here for lunch time within my speilok excursion tour. The sights are perfect the gardens stunning and food very good quality now I was associated with some very British climate the rain, however, not for longer. The musicin the backdrop was old movie songs loved it , it put into the atmosphere of the idiillic place. It had been my birthday celebration when I visited plus they bought out a lovely birthday celebration cake and all sung joyful birthday to me , when i has been a solo traveller I requested each of them have got a slice of cake on me. They produced my day quite special and enjoyable many thanks. My only drawback for here had been the toilets didn't appear that clear whether it had been wear and tear uncertain, probably could do with just a little updating. But many thanks all for a pleasant lunch . 👌😊

Feel nostalgic when i has been here for the authentic European foods. Unlike the mass pattern of franchise in the city or somewhere else in Sandakan. Since it will be up the hillside, the building blocks of the region looks a little unsafe now. the cement stair provides someobvious cracks. Hopefully, they will have funding to accomplish some pilling to bolster the foundation.

Just what a disappointment this cafe was we were on a trip and had prebooked for the 3 course lunch time we wanted seafood chips and were told that they had not one -- we asked for english tea told that they had not one the meal overall wasvery disappointing the scone had not been fresh - there have been very little of gardens to check out like a shame they might do so a lot more with this eating place and its grounds.
