I actually used to be in a position to get roti perancis and karipap from a vintage Indian man who sold things to the housing locations using his bicycle simply because transportation. This bakery marketed baked goods which are almost much like those goodies! Freshly produced goods and thelady promoting the goods was therefore courteous and individual. Bought sufficient to let my children flavor and savour the pastries. So many baked products to pick from...delicious too!

Bought quite a few bakeries and my sister as well bought a few which includes lamb and potato curry puff. The puff wasn't very much appetizing. Coconut bun has been average and also the kaya bun. Noticed they were making use of charcoals to bake those breads and folks can look at thechimneys as a evidence. Truly traditional bakery in the center of JB town

Even though Salahuddin Bakery was on our itinerary, our partner & I discovered it by chance whilst searching for another host to interest. What's so special concerning the bakery? For one, it really is probably among the oldest or even the oldest bakeryin Johor Bahru. We sensed elated after considering its signage which transported us back again to the olden times, right about some 80 years back. The Bakery had opened its doorways in 1937 by Salahuddin’s past due grandfather, Shariff Mohamed Mahku. Shariff originated from New Delhi, India & acquired proved helpful as a baker in Malaya after that in 1925. Twelve yrs afterwards, he realised his fantasy by opening their own bakery store. The family-owned company is now operate by the family’s 4th era associate as Salahuddin has offered the duty to his eldest boy. Salahuddin’s children, relatives & employees start preparing the dough & ingredients at nighttime so that new loaves of loaf of bread are ready on the market & consumption early each morning. The store opens daily aside from Fri, from 8:30 am - 7:00 pm on a busy narrow road. Hence, parking is a problem. The Bakery continues to utilize the same charcoal-fired oven to create its selection of breads & pastries. That is probably the reason behind its survival. You don’t reach see many bakeries utilizing the same method. Therefore, the flavour & flavor from its breads & pastry are often not the same as conventional ovens. As we stepped in the old shop, we're able to see many dark & white pictures of Shariff & newspaper clippings of the store on the wall space. We furthermore spotted the charcoal cooker! It was like getting in a period machine. My companion had purchased a loaf of butter cake. I didn’t buy anything, foolishly when i was still very complete from lunch time but wished that I experienced now. Among the employees had kindly taken an image with us. We shall definitely be back again to sample more of the shop’s pastries. I had been informed that its French loaves coconut stuffed buns & Indian Bengali curry puffs & have become soft & taste genuine. The fillings are usually generous & the curry puffs’ edges are often crispy & flaky. A visit to the Bakery is crucial! Do not skip it if you’re in Johor Bahru.

If I'm not mistaken, this is actually the minute oldest bakery in Johor Bharu. The dog owner is initially from New Delhi, India. I purchased poultry curry puff, sardine puff, banana cake, along with other loaf of bread. Overall the flavor is good just like the old period. Come right here tovisit at least one time in case you are in JB.
