Having browse the good reviews concerning this restaurant, we surely got to attempt it. N just what a disappointment ! Unlike that which was claimed, it had been way method below malacca's dining places such as for example Makro. Tried the lady's finger that was too smooth and overcooked and the sambalover it really is fragrantless no kick. The chilli has been device blended to too great a texture. Definitely not to standard. Furthermore attempted the ayam buah keluah. Nothing exclusive and again u might have much tastier edition in a few malacca eateries. The buah keluah is too dried out and as well crumpy. The chendol will be worse. Does not have the fragrance of the malacca gula melaka. N the ice is indeed fine that it currently melted when it had been served!! The chendol will be tasteless and offered frozen! Awful! Malacca is even now the place to choose Nyonya foods, unless u aren't picky.

Authentic and authentic taste of Nyonya cuisine! Exactly like home cook meals...and I love the Chef work different 'sambal' (chili) in various dishes. I love their : Poultry Pongteh, Kapitan poultry, Curry poultry with Keluak and the Nyonya Cendol quite definitely! Remember the Nyonyasnacks (kuih) with recreate my childhood memory...worthy of visit second time.

Mum & i are taken to this location by 2 famous JB lucky pull scammer who's driver make use of knife to threatened his victim when she wished to make police record, that 2 con man's workplace is on same developing plus they ate there regular. 1extra fat & 1 skinny who appear really close with the two 2 young women server out of this place. The meals aren't genuine nyonya cuisine & average regular only.

We are searching for food and eventually drove pass this calm neighbourhood at Taman Molek, and spotted Ma-Ma Nyonya Foods big signboard together a row of store houses. Remember having browse the good testimonials from Johor Kaki, and made a decision to test it out for.As that is our first-time trying nyonya foods, we have been not sure what things to order. The staff is quite patient trying to explain to us. By the end we ordered rendang mutton, sambal petai udang and ayam buah keluak. As we have no idea how to seek out the meats stuffed in the buah keluak, the girl boss, Ms Grace assist us and told us how exactly to combine the gravy and rice with the buah keluak meats. The chicken was so tender and the sambal petai udang is quite nice. We have been so full and didn't have enough room to use their kuih and desserts. The staff draw out a small little bit of kuih lapis for all of us to try because they are producing it to market during Chinese New Year. Was quite impressed making use of their foods and services. Definite will end up being back to try their additional nyonya meals, kuih and desserts.

The proprietress was quite friendly and made people at home - as though we were eating our very own mama's food ( mama actually means grandma). We were running past due due to a huge visitors jam and called along the way plus they were sokind to remain on for us even though they close earlier for dinner. Kapiten chicken was among our favourites and also the lady's fingers. Be sure you purchase the fried eggs ( I've forgotten the title but there were items of fresh herbs inside it) - it had been sooo good we purchased two of it. PS They mentioned these were moving to a fresh and bigger place shortly and they usually near early for supper so be sure you provide them with a call beforehand.

First-time visiting the restaurant following searching from several great review. However the very first disappoint me until we still left without eating. Go to there on a weekday around 1210 hrs. We were the initial desk. After settle disputes wn we had been told that several product donot have yet the majority of it were the topic feature product from recomendation. The girl did recommend various other item from the menus: but what we needed can be their speciality with the reason for going to there. After she noticed we wished to change to some other place her face switch dark with the angry encounter and poor attitude I don't believe she deserve to stay service industry. At the very least an apology with inviting us again. Not just a word but dark face and anger. Extremely disappointing. If may be the owner worst still.

I actually drove in to put on this eating place from Singapore. Went there today, purchase a mama curry poultry set meal, the rendang mutton and the chendol. They start serving chendol first but I told them I'd would rather eat first before my dessert. Ithought that is basic knowledge specifically they state themselves as restaurant? Next, my Poultry Curry place was served, poultry curry is very bland, most likely the chef had forgotten to pinch salt involved with it. After that come my Rendang mutton, serve in a little bowl as though was scooped from leftover. The serving bowl will be pathetic. And finally i asked for my chendol, it had been served half melted that they ensure it is earlier and store in the fridge. Oh ya, and the bartley that came alongside the set. When beverage till the end and will taste sugars syrup left bottom. I QUICKLY recalled that was said to be the bartley! Basic with glucose syrup left base without stirring and/or not really supplying a stirrer for consumer to stir themselves. What a pathertic dinner i had. Service? I doubt therefore, helping melted chendol from fridge done previous. No receipt present no breakdown of meals you may spend. They dont bother to entertain you at all. Avoid if possible

Situated in a shophouse upon a street between your occupied Burma and McAlister roads, that is mostly of the allegedly authentic Nonya dining places in Georgetown. The decoration has been kept basic and there's an outside terrace for those desperate to dine al fresco. The menus is fairly extensive and features the majority of the traditional bowls of this Straits cuisine. Curry Kapitan, prawns, otak-otak, sambals, pork prepared in a claypot etc. Altogether pretty good but nothing at all to drool over. Sadly, Nonya cuisine demands period and care and the ones are requirements that aren't usually met in the present day kitchens where slicing corners is more typical. However, the services in MaMa Nonya iis attentive and helpful and corkage is realistic if you bring your personal wine. There's room for improvement.
