This was a great kinda restaurant to go to. Colonial, nice decoration with Queen Elizabeth overlooking our tables. The area was clean; actually the restrooms were perfectly maintained. The ceiling has been high, once and for all ventilation. Now returning to the cause to go to; thefood. The menus was a variety of regional and western fare. It wasn’t particularly delicious or good. Very typical.

Durbar gets the chef and employees led by Kelvin from Ipoh Swimming Golf club. It retains those favourites I recall from my childhood just like the steaks and rather tasty banana fritters. This is the bar in the colonial times for expats but still retains thecharm and history.

The British colonial decoration and ambience put in a exclusive touch to the home signatures meals we ordered - Hainanese Poultry Chopand Poultry Mornay. Our lunch time was made more particular when Susan found share the annals of Durbar around. She then suggested the banana fritters also it was tasty. Susan indeed is really a pleasant ambassador of Durbar.

We enjoyed a superb Malaysian Lunch time at a particular historical place. The various dishes were all really tasteful including a Laksa, various Crabmeat dishes, a particular Halibut filet and a tasty banana fritter desert. The inside decor is Colonial with several historical pictures including alarge among Queen Elizabeth. The aged furniture including the older tables produced this lunch time very special and unforgettable. This all was topped by the friendly employee Susan who not merely recommended us the laundry including an extremely special coffee but additionally explained the annals of the oldest Bar and oldest Eating place of Malaysia. She had been a great ambassador of the special Cafe of Ipoh. Surviving in Germany we had been happy to visit this type of great invest Malaysia and we are able to only recommend this location.
