We are residing at the belum rainforest holiday resort and decided to travel to Gerik for supper, actually searching for this place called Chow Y, where they will have famous wild boar curry. After wandering around we discovered that all the chinese dining places were closed. I dontknow if in Gerik each of them close early on a daily basis or if its because its Mon night. The town is actually quiet. Hardly any restaurants were open. Mainly malay or indian muslim dining places which also looked actually empty. And we saw this location which is off the primary road. Really filled with customers. therefore we went there. Not merely had been it the only real really lively location we saw nonetheless it was also the only real chinese restaurant that was open. Family type eatery. Operate by Thais I believe but very friendly program. menu has been half in Thai therefore we'd to get you to definitely explain everything to us. Mainly Thai style food with quite a few chinese dishes. Filled with families with kids. We had fried poultry , kangkong with garlic and a veggie soup. Food was alright. Not great. But tasty enough. Really cheap by Kuala Lumpur specifications. chicken was RM 10.00, soup and vege each 6.oo. we furthermore had three drinks. Overall bill 32.00 Gerik is really a fairly large city. would have expected even more eateries to most probably. Still I was very happy with this location. would i return....most likely not but for those who visit the belumresorts and want dinner in gerik city, that is one option. clean and pleasant service.

I would say it's the only cafe around. Lady boss will be from Thai therefore expect some genuine thai meals served. I experienced a thai steamboat with both regular soup and tom yam soup. Soups were quite tasty specifically the lard from the fryingpart flowed down and blended with the soups. Nevertheless, steamboat isn't on menu and far better call ahead to publication. This cafe furthermore served a number of interesting cold drinks.
