We love Chulia Road and made a decision to visit Yeng Keng for an early on dinner. Leading door were locked actually though I possibly could see individuals inside. I finished up ringing the eating place from leading door, considering the waiter speaking with me!Once in the special of your day was excellent, Beef Rendang. The support was a little sluggish and uncoordinated bit general an extremely pleasant and value meal.

We ate within January and liked the food. That vacation we ate the Ar Or (braised duck with yam), the Assam seafood and beef rendang. All extremely enjoyable. This time we made a decision to order the chicken chops. My hubby ate the grilled poultry chopwith dark pepper sauce. An extremely safe choice and incredibly much to your expectation. We ordered the Hainanese poultry chop as there have been good reviews onto it. Actually, I have in no way eaten a Hainanese poultry chop and didn't know what to anticipate. It was a poultry chop dipped in batter and fried and drizzled with a in-home sauce. It had been nice but I came across the sauce abit bland. The potato wedges which was included with it were perfectly fried n fragrant. For dessert we'd the sago with gula Melaka. It was included with a generous part of sago and a little part of coconut milk. We'd have loved it to be much less sago and much more coconut milk. Nonetheless with the gula Melaka, it had been nice. We also ordered the banana fritters which was included with a generous part of vanilla ice lotion and chocolate sauce. The neighborhood bananas had hook sourness to it - perfectly fried, very nice.

The restaurant is situated next to the historic Yeng Keng Boutique Resort on Chulia Road. The decoration is of the 1930s with posh, plush cosy banquette and normal desk seating. This restaurant acts authentic Hainanese-design cuisine. Throughout my travels in Malaysia & Singapore I haven’t beenable to get Char Hor Enjoyable of this high quality. A twist on the Hainanese poultry - flaky puff pastry externally enclosing steaming very hot mushroom and poultry within. Quite distinctive and ideal for Western palates. An excellent range of dishes provided and prices is reasonable.
