I haven't been back again here since this resort and eating place changed it's title, but I'm pleased to record that the nasi goreng and the char koay teow are as effective as actually! The waitress told me that the title change had been to reflect thefact that hotel is currently more targeted at business guests. We received a complementary plate of soup and a dessert that was a good touch, and the program was extremely helpful and prompt. I'm happy to note that the lobby lounge nevertheless presents lovely cakes and espresso as before. An excellent spot to rest and cool off in case you are shopping at the close by mall.

It is a restaurant in a hotel. Frequently hotel dining places have good food, nonetheless it is seldom that certain raves about foods at a hotel eating place. This is actually the exception; it is a real gem. The food here's outstanding! I was the guest atthe resort for 5 nights, and enjoyed eating at the Islander for 3 of the nights. On our arrival the cafe was serving an excellent Buffet Dinner. I especially liked the Beef Wellington. It had been prepared perfectly! On another event I met Mr. Vighesveren Subramaniam, the Eating place and Bar Supervisor for the Islander. He, Mr. Seelanz, Ms. Norizan, and another Islander employees were nearly all attentive to service; the standard of the meals; and its preparing. I noticed that the wait staff members, chefs, and administration all sincerely wished to deliver a fantastic product to us. Of particular note may be the Lamb Shank Entrée, that i enjoyed immensely. The display was most appealing, and the meats was moist with amazing flavor. In the event that you enjoy superb lamb, usually do not overlook this dining recommendation ! The breakfast buffet was inclusive with my stay as a guest of the hotel. This breakfast can be offered in the Islander. Most of the buffet products were made to purchase for the visitors, and all items which I requested were ready with excellent focus on detail. A specific breakfast employee remembered my fruit juice of choice, and delivered it to my desk with a welcoming grin. I noticed that the eating place enjoyed significant patronage from the neighborhood residents of Georgetown. Viewing this regional support, reinforced the views I was producing for myself concerning the restaurant and the grade of the meals and service. So, when within Penang, don't await hours at the areas Anthony Bourdain mentions within his TV Travel Foods Show. He missed among the best - The Islander ! I give this cafe my highest recommendation!

On your day of the arrival in Georgetown from 28/11/15 to 08/12/15 and after checking in within my local hotel I enquire about an excellent place for an dinner, It's suggested from reception personnel I try THE ISLANDER. I arrived around 7:15pm onSaturday evening 28/11/15 & immediately good by the employees, I'm quoted Rm 88.00 for the buffet meal which includes dessert & hot beverages. Immediately I'm amazed with the entire presentation of the meals selection and clean atmosphere, your able to assist yourself without overfilling your plate showing up greedy. I'm guided towards a vacant desk close to the windowpane and water continuously becoming refilled into my cup. The meals was very delicious & didn't flavor like it's either over prepared or sat in the warm bay for a long time. I spend around 90 minutes eating gradually and making discussion with some diners and employees. Selecting desserts were incredible & couldn't resist heading back for another portion. Coffee & Tea obtainable with some carbonated drinks in-between. I'm so impressed I came back again one week down the road 05/12/15 and received exactly the same pleasant welcome from the personnel. I received a shock when handing over my charge card details to cover my bill and just finished up paying Rm 70.40 not Rm 88.00 because of 20% off with my charge card service provider. The buffet meals are just available Fri & Saturday nights & an excellent atmosphere for several ages and not overvalued. Finally a location to consume without feeling & a easy location in main Georgetown.

Variety : Limited Taste : Average Food Freshness : Average Cleanliness : Good Affordability : 5/10 Bad Comments : The restaurant is definitely open up for buffet from 7.00pm till 11.00pm nevertheless the meals and beverage counter closed at 9.30pm. In case you are arriving latefor the buffet and which means that you merely have limited time and energy to enjoy the foods. There is absolutely no announcement on the final call for the meals and beverage. We are able to stay back again at the cafe until 11.00pm without the food or beverage. Not really perfect for group or close friends collecting if you are searching at having meals plus fellowship.
