We was super excited to use this. Waited in the lengthy queue beneath the hot sunny climate. Perhaps i have an extremely high expectation with this chendol. It didnt flavor as great as well as better than the people i could reunite house. The onlything that i liked had been melting the ice down my throat.

Just a cool beverage to heal the warm temperature and body. There's no specialty within the ingredient.

Famous Chendul (shaved ice in mixed ingredient with nice syrup) due to hype. When tourists stroll on the primary road Jalan Penang they'll visit a long queue of individuals for something, what's going on ? So their curiosities build-up and finally they discover, thisTeochew Chendul and spread from mouth area to mouth and today everyone want to attempt. When Penang feel actually scorching and humid in the afternoon, definitely beverage this Teochew Chendul will be very great, it is extremely refreshing, although any Chendul or Ais Kacang can do the same, regardless of what is the shop title behind it. Place is five minutes walk from Komtar.

IMHO, the cendol is slightly overhyped. A touch too sweet for my flavor & overpriced. If you not sitting down inside, be sure you stand out of just how & look out for the cars.

Only a normal cendol flavor as i tasted therefore many cendol from various places. It must be have significantly more coconut milk flavor instead of brown sugar taste. Uncertain why so well-known as much less of cendol taste.

Right after reading the overwhelming review with this store, went generally there in the first afternoon and 3rd in the queue. Personally, the chendol flavor bland if you ask me. believed there are usually far better chendol serving somewhere else just like the one we attempted at Jonker Road, Malacca which tastesuperb.

At the corner of Lebuh Keng Kwee may be the famous Teochew chendul where you will discover an extended queue every hour of your day. This stall will be well-known for its chendul with ice shavings, coconut milk, reddish colored bean and natural rice jelly. The gula Melakaadded to the initial taste and generally diners keep coming back for more. It is possible to order a plate of chendul and eat it at the close by rojak store provided you get a drink or perhaps a bowl of rojak. The lengthy queue clearly implies that the drink is well-known and locals and vacationers can make a beeline because of this chendul when they go by Lebuh Keng Kwee. It really is worthy of a try if you're a food gourmet.

The “Million Dollar” Chendul of Penang! The crowds throng to the small hole in the wall food cart everyday like bees to honey. From 9.30am this favourite Chendul stall opens for company and by the finish of your day some 3,000 bowls could have beendished out to eager clients who come from all over and stand in range for twenty minutes to fulfill their urge. The modest cart is run by Mr Tan whose Dad started the business enterprise in 1936. It really is situated on Lebuh Keng Kwee, a narrow, nondescript lane simply off the famous purchasing section of Jalan Penang. Through the years it is continuing to grow in popularity to attain its dizzying heights these days. Eight hours of company daily @ RM 3.30 ($1.10) per bowl would give Mr Tan an extraordinary turnover around USD3,000 regular or some USD1m each year ! By any yardstick this should be the most famous Chendul any place in Penang or Malaysia, or the spot (variants of the delicacy are also within Singapore, Thailand & Indonesia). And justifiably so, once we helped ourselves to secs to find the most away of our Penang go to. Don’t miss it if you want the taste of refreshing coconut milk sweetened with jaggery and infused with items of gentle, chewy, greenish jelly bits called chendul. Delicious!

A cold, lovely cendol , with good plump red coffee beans with syrup gula melaka. Perfect for the warm weather in penang. Seller uncle is quite friendly as well.

An excellent dessert to be savored about a hot time. Loved to possess cendol whenever we come in Penang. Shouldn't be missed.
