When within Penang, EAT everythg anythg .. but honestly, it's getting as well touristy, so choose the forgotten few, not really crowded, food continues to be good (not the very best) .. Swatow Lane Foods Court, it's airy & fairly clean, nevertheless serving up great laksam(laksa & assam) noodle, hokkien noodle and Swatow Lane ice Kacang "LEE Ice Kacang" (it is a png fav w a distinctive taste, improved by strips of nutmeg) ..

Hands down the very best cendol inside the Island - beats another a single with the long queue! For RM4, you obtain a plate of cendol with wealthy gula melaka & coconut milk, with generous servings of kidney coffee beans. Ideal for a hot day. PS: Walkingdistance from Lorong Selamat

This stall is situated in New World Park close to Tune Hotel. It markets different desserts and the well-known Swatow Lane crimson bean ice shaving or popularly referred to as Ice Kacang locally. A plate of this yummy dessert price only RM4 or equal to USD1.Generous serving of reddish beans, jelly and attap chee (palm seeds) and garnished with equally generous quantity of lovely corn kernels with syrup, that is among Penang's must-have foods.

Nothing at all to shout about, only a good location to take a split from the warm weather and have a cool dessert and snacks.

An excellent alternative dessert place if you are searching for shaved ice dessert apart from Chendol. Affordable at RM4 per bowl minus the fruits/ice-cream add-ons in a good shaded complex with plenty of seating area.

Food taste excellent - especially the lovely and sour poultry rice set. Best actually! Poultry was crsipy eventhough beneath the nice and sour sauce. Furthermore the guava juice will be freshly squeezed - not really bottled or preserved types. Just what a treat! Highly recommended.

Personal preferred ice kacang / cendol from the Swatow Lane Ice Kacang floods back again memories of the row of hawker carts along Swatow Lane. But it is the exactness to the almost century outdated 'recipe' and delicate however appropriately firm regularity of the natural chendol jelly,in addition to the overall sweetness stability, that independent Swatow Lane Ice Kacang from the others.
