We visited Penang to ostensibly try regional food and area of the go to, partook the well-known nasi kandar in 6 different restaurants over the island. Kassim Mustapha was the initial in the website visit just after we found its way to Penang. I experienced the beef inblack gravy, squid egg curry, salted egg, ladies' fingers and natural chilli. As the food was good, I felt underwhelmed which personal viewpoint about Kassim Mustapha was further entrenched after visiting 5 even more nasi kandar restaurants. Ultimately Kassim Mustapha was rated second last in my own list.

I am going on visa works to Georgetown since 2006 roughly, usually a few times a year. I usually head to Kassim Mustafa for the tandoori poultry. It's still great. Usually I don't look for tandoori chicken but that is special.

Didn’t really know very well what we had been ordering once we struggled with the menu no English translation. Following a little bit of pointing we were left with tandoori poultry, naan breads, some rice plus some sauces. It had been superb. The tandoori poultry had been succulent, the sauceswere filled with flavour and the naan loaf of bread was as effective as I’ve tasted. Not extravagant surroundings but great foods, great worth (22 RM incl. 2 mango lassis) and certainly worth a trip when in Georgetown.

There are several wannabes in the island but Kassim Mustafa is really a classic. I have already been eating here because the 90s and the meals is still consistently great and well-costed. For the much less adventurous, attempt the chicken (slight or spicy), which my boy declared thebest curried poultry he has every acquired. For the adventurous, Personally, i recommend the goat tripe -- it really is sublime! You cannot fail here. The sauce blend over rice will be what I believe of when I anticipate a trip back to Penang. Click here and revel in your meal!

Plenty of choices ranging from seafood egg curry, squid curry, daging Ros not to mention the fried poultry.Theresaturant is spacious which means you dont fight for the seat.

We visited this restaurant two times. The first period for dinner, and the next time for late lunch time. We purchased nasi dacha (butter rice with poultry gulai), nan arranged with poultry tandoori and Maggie Mie goreng. We like all the meals we ordered. Serviceis quick and quite fine for Indian eating place. It's quite inexpensive, we believe. And it's halal.

Extremely appetising nasi kandar with delicious curries. Among the better types i've got in Penang up to now.

I didn’t enjoy thus much. I went right now there like two or three 3 times solely or with buddies. The chicken tandoori could be kind of dried out but the taste is fairly good, ok part. The garlic naan is fairly dry even though the reddish colored buttery sauceis great to dip the naan into however the part of the sauce is really a bit little. The teh tarik will be ok. If you ask me, the atmosphere is average even though the place is quite spacey with fans however in an extremely noisy environment due to the traffic jam in Chulia road, you need to shout occasionally to order plus they don’t as if you shout. Some hard work is done yet, in the decoration that is coloured Cleanliness when We went there appeared to be very common. It was dirty on the floor. When did they clean the last time? The meals choice is average. We don’t think the menus is very clear so when you ask explanations they don’t answer because they don’t speak great English. Finally I nevertheless don’t know what may be the garlic cheese naan fixed, the difference invest the this or the naan divided with the tandoori poultry. You can even not see obviously the cost of the teh tarik, it isn't obviously mentioned on the menus. In accordance with me, they are usually not so helpful and cautious even though they are smiley. They're friendly so long as you request no question. Nevertheless I was served very quick nonetheless it seems that furthermore giving me the menus has been bothering for them. I didn’t feel extremely at ease The food volume is great and the price for the money average even if the costs are cheap. Even though the food is fairly ok the poultry tandoori and naan cheaper than several places, the service isn't that good Maybe this is a little bit cheaper than Kapitan situated just in the front but they could be a little bit rude for you. Noisy environment furthermore with the visitors jam. The nice point is they are open like a day Would you return back there? I wouldn’t return back alone because I believe there are better eateries somewhere else but f my Malay close friends desire to go there I'll accompany them

Underrated in comparison with the Deen Maju or Range Clear counterparts, this cafe serves Amazing Nasi Kandar at sensible prices and with Zero LONG QUEUES (I'm considering you, Deen Maju). The curries are heavy and spiced enough, all of the vegetables good. No stupidwatery curries that whenever poured onto the rice simply ends up being truly a watery mess. The roti canai can be served with exactly the same curries offered with the nasi kandar, which earns this location extra extra points to be amazing. Shame about its tosai though. As well sour and too gentle for my liking.

We went with my children. It was the very best nasi kandaq up to now. I like it. My hubby loved it too. Therefore tasty. The dalca is the greatest! Should come here again for certain!
