We was recommended to possess Dim Sum as of this place when i was told it had been among the "go-to" invest Penang for Dim Sum. The area was packed when I found its way to the early morning but finding a clear table didn't take longhowever getting a parking may end up being a task. Every desk is given a "purchase cards" whereby the waiter/waitress will tag your purchase on that cards which is used to finalize the costs. Unlike in Kuala Lumpur & most section of Malaysia, this location requires one to queue at the steaming counter to select what Dim Sum you need. Basically speaking, self assistance. The variety isn't very much however the staples are there. Quality wise, they're a little unrefined, the flavor is fairly bland but my biggest complain is that the Dim Sum are usually luke-warm. The plus stage of the place is that it is quite spacious so group sits comfortable despite fully occupied.

Fifty yards together Lorong Abu Siti, from Jalan Macalister, this cafe is definitely busy in the first morning, around 8am (this is the just time we go, therefore i have no idea about some other times). It includes a great collection of dim sum - theeggplant in solid sauce would be to die for, as may be the char siu pow (bbq pork bun), loh mai kai (glutinous rice steamed with meats, mushroom and sauce) and siu mai. They will have a lot more dim sum choices but I must admit, I always choose the same dishes! It is possible to order an array of noodle and rice meals, cooked for you personally in their large kitchen. We enjoy the Wat Tan Hor (toned noodles, with prawn and veggies, prepared with egg and heavy sauce). The staff have become busy, but attentive. Sensible prices.

Lots of neighborhood older Chinese buddies gather within the mornings to capture up and shoot the breeze more than dim sum - it's obviously very popular - it's aircraft hangar design dim sum - zero trolleys - just rock up and point in whatyou desire to eat - easy peasy! High quality of the dim sum can be pretty typical - to qualify that I know my dim sum and also have eaten particularly HK design ds all over the world, therefore my bar is defined high. Food was Alright and cheap.

We weren't very sure what things to expect once we walked up the lane method before 9am on a Sunday morning nonetheless it wasn't this! The area was totally buzzing with local households and a lot of staff attempting to help chair us and help us withour choice. Yes you will need to fall into line, yes it is hectic but wow!! What an incredible experience for Miss 12 & Miss 11 (which parents)!! Well worthy of a visit.

The soup is actually good, the poultry foot too salty (with me only, my pal think it’s great so much). Recommend

Price have become unreasonable and incredibly expensive. Staff aren't friendly and so are not useful at all. The basic dim sum that is the har kaw and siu mai aren't fresh. Actually the pork ribs aren't cooked. Definitely will never ever move backagain as this location is over rated.

I usually visit this location whenever I head to Penang. Delicious, sizzling dim sum for early morning breakfast with popular Chinese tea. Affordable costs, good quality, worth the amount of money I paid. I really like this place!

The purchase price is reasonable. I would recommend you to possess Char Sio Pao and Salted Egg Pao. Anyway, it isn't a buffet dimsum. Simply 2 mins stroll from our hotel.

Frankly speaking, the meals was not awful, the service staff very friendly. But the proprietors manning the counter had been really rude and arrogant. We proceeded to go as an organization and needed to get a break down of what we purchased in the receipt. That they had just givenus a lump sum number to pay without details. The owners weren't happy concerning this, and began accusing us of not really trusting them. We weren't rude nor unreasonable clients in any way. That is why we had been shocked to see like treatment from obviously extremely moody bosses (husband & spouse I really believe). Its constantly the customer's to discover the breakdown. These were not even active at that time, so its no excuse for not really giving us information on what was charged. Figure out how to show some regard to your customers!
